This trial will be like the one for the Dutch shooter, solid lineup of craziness, and attention seeking whoredom by the defendant

Yeah he's going to be talking right to the cameras.
Course I'm not sure our system has cameras in, ala the Simpson trial. Which is a good thing. But yeah he'll be searching for attention.

I am hoping that China will make a request for him to be tried in China...that would be awesome...Chinese prison would be a perfect place for this guy...
(I know it never could/should happen)

Give him the same treatment he gave those kittens in the plastic bags. Let him see how it feels.

I am mostly against capital punishment because I don't think it works well in a society. It doesn't really deter or prevent violence and there is even evidence that it maybe encourages some killers. Breveik in Norway right now is a perfect example. He wants to die. He wants to be martyred.
As well there is situations like mental illness which doesn't seem right. Lastly in a system where CP is administered you do sometimes get wrongly accused getting killed. Lots of examples of that in history, especially before DNA evidence.
But in situations like this, I wouldn't mind in the slightest. It's just that you can't really make a line there. You either have it or don't. As for the reasons mentioned above, I believe it just works better not having capital punishment.

There ya go, good enough point. I will be honest I didn't even know that was his name though.

If he loves the attention so much, they should do just what Fotze said: Try him and refer to him as Eric Newman from this point on, not his alias.
Then, when he's convicted, lock him up nice and tight in a hole somewhere in some prison, where he doesn't interact with anyone. I think that would be suitable.

Based on his mugshot, looks like he may have gotten a haircut in France to change his appearance, or was wearing a wig in the airport. Those surveillance photos has him with long dark hair, not short and blonde.
Either way, he's an ugly mofo that I hope gets uglier when his cell mate Brutus has his way with this effeminate little martian.

I think the biggest news story here is that apparently internet cafes still exist.

Clearly you haven't traveled to backpacker heavy countries?
I can't speak for Europe 'cus I've never gone there but when I was backpacking in Australia and New Zealand, internet cafes are highly common. How else are you gonna stay connected?
