There's no specific end date, it just runs until they are out of cups. In 2010 it ran for roughly 33 days. Not sure about 2011.

This year it started February 20th so March 28th would be the 37th day. Unlikely, but possible.

Banner year, but I can't wait for them to run out of cups, I have had enough steeped tea for the next 3 months.

We still have a ton of RUTR cups in the warehouse, and we haven't gotten any shipments of regular cups in a while. So I would expect it to go on for a while longer

I come with the most glorious of news: I won a donut.

Yes, folks, it's true! On the fourth try, I followed the yellow arrow, hooked the rim with my bottom row of teeth, and grinded and pulled, ignoring the waxy residue that found its way into my mouth. Revealed to me by the light of the sun was the inscription "you won a donut" (or something like that.)

Confetti spilled from the ceiling, balloons came out of nowhere, and a trio of Filipino employees wearing forced smiles surrounded me and lifted my chair into the air, carrying me through the packed Tim's, but they quickly had to put me down because the line-ups were staring to get long again.

A group of police officers and EMS workers who were taking their late night break lined up to shake my hand and pat me on the shoulders, and I told each of them that this prize would be enjoyed all the more, knowing that I live in a city guarded by brave officers and EMS people.

I asked to see one of the policewoman's gun, and instead she slipped a piece of paper into my pocket and whispered in my ear, "I'll show you mine if you show me yours . . . call me."

Then the realization that donuts don't agree with my no sugar diabetic lifestyle hit me, and I threw the scrap of waxy paper on the ground and said, "F#@& it, I would rather have won a god damn coffee."

Whenever I have won a donut, I asked if I could have a coffee instead. They gave me a coffee every time.

Went a ridiculously high 15/26 (if memory serves) last year, but am 1/10 this year so far....

hah, my good buddy averages 3 L a day outside of RR. Pretty sure he's had over 50 since the contest started. The worst part is he drinks triple triples, gross.
