Cruise Ship Runs Aground near Italy

Costa Allegra and Costa Concordia are nowhere near sister ships. The only thing they gave in common is that they at both white ships with yellow funnels.

There have been a few cruise ship stories the past few months.

- Costa Concordia runs aground
- Carnival ship has to end cruise early due to infected crew and passengers
- same Carnival ship gets 'cleaned', returns to service...then gets infected again.
- on another Carnival cruise, 22 passengers got robbed at gun point while on excursion in Mexico.
- Costa Allegra gets disabled

Carnival is the parent company of Costa. Carnival owns about 50% of the cruise ships currently in service.

The captain of the Italian cruise ship Costa Concordia has been found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 16 years in prison.

Captain Francesco Schettino was at the helm when the ship hit rocks and sank in 2012, killing 32 people.

He was accused of taking the liner too close to the shore and then abandoning ship with passengers and crew still on board.

Good, he probably deserve more than this. Apparently is an expert at diverting blame rather than owning up to his recklessness.
