Being a life long Flames fan and suffering through what seemed like a million years of mediocre hockey I thought 2002 was the year the Flames would be back in the playoffs.

Having a 'legit' number 1 goalie in Roman Turek, Iggy was poised to have a great season (which he did, to the tune of 52 goals). I thought for sure this was the year we would playing in the post-season. I didn't care if we were division champs, just wanted some playoff action.

Was also in college, and was a big fan of pot.

8th Spot was all I wanted that year, but 8sPOT looked cooler I thought.

Seriously where did this term come from all of a sudden? Until the summer I had never even heard that term in my entire life, didn't even know that was a thing that existed. Now I hear it everywhere; baseball, hockey, a new member here's username, even that Madden '12 commercial. Apparently animals can actually trend.
