Looks really good, might want to consider a different steering wheel, other than that the interior looks great.

I'm not a truck guy by any means, but that looks pretty great. You really keep your truck in fantastic shape btw.

Your truck looks amazing, especially considering the age. Being totally honest, I find the flaming chev logo a bit cheesy, everything else looks great.

^^ the panel that the flaming chev logo is on is really easy to swap out.... (it would probably take 15 minutes/side to change)

i'll be leaving it like this for now, but i can see myself doing a standard chev bowtie in the future

Actually they are extremely rare now, in stock form. 15 k will get you the car with a bunch of cheesy bolt on crap, a fart cannon, with double or triple the k, and likely in need of new apex seals. The car makes an absolute mockery of an rx8, in both performance and build quality. The car has in my opinion, the nicest interior to grace a sports car, outside of Ferrari, and It is touted as one of the best handling cars ever made, with the caveat they were mucho fast too. It was tough to find the balance of both in the 90s. You got either fast, or nimble, when you combined the 2 you got squirrelly death machines that you didn't dare touch the gas pedal in corner exits.

I talked to a couple Mazda dealers about the car, and they kept trying to coax out of me who's car this is, because they have interested parties on the car, north of $20 k.

Could I get a cheaper one? Yep. But by the time I got it back to stock, showroom condition, I would have spent the same on a higher mileage car.

PS I bought the car on Tues. lol. And already have a guy dangling 24k for it. I am keeping it I think though. It has always been on my list of personal dream cars, and I doubt I will ever have a chance to find one this nice again. Plus it gives me a place to use all my old Cassettes!

LOL, I will snap a few next time I go down to my storage. I had to rent storage for this, and my bike. As I have condo parking to deal with, and only 1 stall and 3 cars...lol My neighbour is letting me use hers for my 135i.

I was thinking what a deal it worked out to for a minty 94 RX-7 (I actually only paid 19k), and a BMW 135i (27k) for only $46,000 . Less than the sticker for my BMW when it was new, (52,000). At least that is how I am justifying raping my line of credit for this Mazda...lol.

So my stable is:

2011 GTI APR tuned: 265 HP
2008 135i: 300 HP
2008 Suzuki Hayabusa: 197 HP
1994 RX-7 r2: 250 HP

So I have 1012 HP that cost me around $90,000, less than the price of a new 911. I consider that strong bang for the buck considering a 1000hp Bugatti Veyron runs about $1.2 million..lol.

You could've got 1500 hp if you bought 240 lawnmowers.

Bizzarre. I just carproofed the VIN on this RX7, and it is coming up a 1993. The registration is a 1994. Also seeing import from US in 1996.....which I am guessing an odo replacement was done as it is in KMS. pylon is not happy right now, and will be making a calm but pointed phone call in the morning.

It's always best to Carproof before the purchase not after.

yee ha!
What colour/scheme will you be painting it? Not a fan of that stock colour usually, but it actually looks pretty mean with the current mods.

P.S. With the custom exhaust please make it sound good, and not like a canadian tire special.

Doubting that the previous owner bought it new now? At least it didn't come back salvage title.

In fairness to the seller, I am going to wait unit this pans out before I post anymore about it.

If it's from the US, be sure to CarFax it as well. There was a story of a dealership in town a few years back (not sure which one, but a legitimate Honda dealer, not some shady used car guy), selling a used S2000 with a nice clean carproof report....and a salvage title due to flood damage on the carfax.

colour/scheme.... right now i'm leaning for the dark blue part of the truck be to painted a deep red, the light grey part along the bottom to be painted black and then a deep yellowy/gold for the trim that separates the red and black ha! ha!

actually, i'm really wanting to go to a dark grey... sort of like the dark grey you see on a lot of bmw's right now. i really like that colour and think it would look sharp on the truck. i'd also want it just one tone - not 2-tone like it currently is (dark blue on top, light grey on the bottom).
along the bottom i'd like to put chrome rocker-paneling to give the truck this kind of look....

for the exhaust i'll be doing something that has a nice 'rumble' when the truck is being driven, but when you step on it you can definitely hear it!!
the main reason for the exhaust getting redone is i need room under my box for my 35" spare... right now i have the stock spare under the box, which is pretty much useless

Shot of the M3 lip spoiler and the blackline tail lights.

Can't wait to get wheels for it in the spring.

I need to have the brake pads and rotors replaced on my 03 TL. Do you know of any place in Calgary (SW or NW) that is willing to change them out for me along with servicing calipers, etc. if I supply the parts? Looks like a lot of places won't do that if I bring the parts in(probably can't mark up their parts) as I got an awesome deal for 4 rotors and pads.

Much appreciate any suggestions.
