Presumably people with Spurs and/or Everton players just have to man up and take the hit?
Tough luck for the Bale/van der Vaart/Baines brigade.

Any other matches postponed? How about London Championship matches?
Postponement rules would apply:
Quote:
Postponement
A match may be deemed postponed and subject to reschedule if a manager can prove that his team is down by 3 PLAYERS MORE than the opposition. The onus is on the manager to notify the organizer (GirlySports by PM) by midday Tuesday following match weekends, or midday Friday following midweek fixtures. If not the total score of his existing players will apply.
The following restrictions apply to postponements:-- A player who is suspended does NOT count towards a postponement claim. In the event of a goalkeeper's team not playing, that match will automatically be postponed.
- A player who has played for only a part of a match (ie through entering the game as a substitute, or being substituted, or taking part in an abandoned match) does NOT count towards a postponement claim.
In addition to this, if 10 or more players in total are missing from a game (not including the team keepers), the match will be automatically called off regardless of any claims by the respective managers.
|
However if there are many matches postponed, I may just postpone the entire week.
Division 2 is definitely postponed since it will probably be on a shorter schedule and we're still missing teams (sorry guys).
One possibility is to have both Divisions start on the weekend of the 20th and then have the Cup start on the weekend of the 27th.
Decisions decisions.....

ok.
And since none of the division 1 teams have Spurs or Everton keepers we will go ahead as scheduled.
People with Spurs and/or Everton players will have to man up and take the hit. I expect this to happen throughout the year as it's England, there are postponements all the time. If you're short 3 players more than your opponent, you can appeal the result to me.
I'm trying to get all the teams to get their replacement players in, then I will display all the teams.

It's not all bad, if you have Everton or Spurs goalkeepers or defenders then it's not possible for them to concede any goals

Need replacements from 4 teams left:
Jagger: midfielder
arsenal: forward
nuje: defender, forward
Dagger: midfielder, 2 forwards
Division 2 still at 13 teams. We could go with 13 but it'll be kind of stupid with a team having a bye every week.

It's getting late so I think we'll have to have Division 2 at 13 teams.
With such little action I'm thinking of creating a Paint Pot Cup for the 2nd Division only.
If anyone, ANYONE or the 3 non-responding teams want to be in, send me a PM by midnight tonight. Otherwise 13 teams it is!

Making a schedule for Division Two... will start this weekend as well.
Everyone plays!
except Vennegor, if 13 teams, he gets a bye.

Ok we are ready to go! Registration closed! Division 1 has 16 teams, Division 2 has 13.
The teams are listed here! Please check if I've made any errors.
Still need replacement players from Jagger, Dagger and nuje.
If they're not in by first kickoff tomorrow 8am then these teams will play Week 1 shorthanded.
I haven't made the full schedule for Division 2 yet but Week one will be
A-G
B-H
C-I
D-J
E-K
F-L
BYE-M
Any questions let me know. I'm going away for the weekend and may have limited internet access. I will compile all the results Monday night.
Good luck to everyone!

I think BYE has a chance, could give Team M some trouble.

4 outfield players from the toffees and spurs for week 1. Only good thing is that at least you are missing 2 United.

That reminds me with the 3 teams no longer in the League, Jimmy Stang, diane_phaneuf and arsenal get BYES in the first round of the Pucker Cup.

haha you were unlucky on Nolan, counting on him. I am a bit afraid of Cole and Chopra, both guys I think could score a lot of goals this year but I wasn't sure if Cole was staying put.
Oh well, La Flama Blancas might be playing the old 3-2-1 formation this weekend but they won't roll over.
