I think record companies flip coins on whether or not to kill off their talent at 27. Keeps everything nice and random.

A coworker told me it has been reported that her toxicology reports came back negative and it wasn't an OD.

Anyone hear about this?

I'm pretty sure that what I heard was that her autopsy was inconclusive in determining the cause of death but that her toxicology reports would not be available for a few weeks.

edit: quick google confirms this:

Yeah, that Toxicology report is going to take forever.

Whenever you hear the words 'drugs' and 'cocktail' mixed together you're probably looking at a long wait for a toxiclogy report.

Doesn't mean she wasn't full of legal ones, possibly this was an old school alcohol plus barbs' suffocation.

Big surprise here:

Amy Winehouse death: Coroner records misadventure verdict

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-15453517

I wonder what her father thinks about the coroner's results as he was positive that she died because she gave up drinking, or something to that effect.

I was thinking the same thing.

Perhaps he wanted to believe that. I know if I was in his position that would be what I would have wanted to believe.

Apparently 419mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in her system. The article says 350mg/100ml is fatal.

I saw this thread, and immediately thought she was going to be starring in the upcoming episode of the Walking Dead.

My bad.

It's an average. It varies based on the person's drinking history, size, and natural ability to withstand alcohol.
