Acutally I think he held down the left trigger which pushes the puck ahead. Tapping or clicking the left analog stick is what gives you the speed burst.

I'm sure they've tried. Beyond the novelty of being on a cover there isn't a whole lot of upside for the players. They have to agree to it along with the other obligations (doing some media).

Also possible that his deals with RBK and others have clauses that prevent him from appearing in certain things without their input etc., and EA would rather deal with someone without those restrictions.

What are the chances EA adds NCAA teams to the game?
I know, slim to none.
I would love it if they would though. Being able to have Ramage, Arnold, etc. would be nice.
