I couldn't hold out anymore and ordered an anthem jacket. I wanted one since the beginning and just took the plunge!

The red ones are nice, I love mine!

A little birdie told me there may or may not be a 2022 black one coming soon...

It's out and I went with the red instead.

I know Clark is a dump, but at least the 900 fans aren't 40 yards from the pitch.

I don't think that the Elks taking over Edmonton FC would mean that they'd play in Commonwealth. That would be a massive mistake. But I think that I'd be OK with more stable ownership and the cross promotion that could come with them being under the same umbrella. And hopefully some upgrades to Clarke, not to mention their branding and marketing.

I also genuinely feel that if they (or whoever) scooped up Edmonton FC at rock bottom, they'd see a good return on investment. With there being some light at the end of the pandemic tunnel (as far as sporting events and public confidence go, hopefully), and massive things happening in Canadian soccer in the next 6 years minimum. It can only go up from here, if done properly.

Of course, I'd love for them to keep being terrible, but with more fans and financial stability. I think that a healthy club in Edmonton is better for Cavalry and the CPL.

Don't get me wrong, new ownership for the team would be great. The league needs stability over all else.

Oh man, well I guess I went with the full zip jacket and thought that was the anthem jacket! I had my eye on the anthem jacket and just never bought it, so hopefully it's pretty close.

All good! It's kinda hard to determine to be honest, haha. Honestly dude, the red Anthem jackets are more iconic anyways. Black ones are more subtle (which I do love and will buy), but I'm always wearing my red one to games for obvious reasons!

When I start attending Cavs games in York and Hamilton this year, I'll be the lone guy wearing the red jacket, makes for good TV positioning

Yeah that’s why I went with the red. I did think about it for a brief second, because the black does look nice. I don’t think I need both!

Big name signing by Ottawa. Massive talent, but there's a good reason he's gone from a €25 million release clause with Barcelona to CPL in a few years. He'll either be one of the best players in the league, or warming the bench by the summer...

You're making a lot of leaps in this statement. But right now FC Edmonton need a stable ownership group. Without that, they fold. Whether that's the Elks or another group remains to be seen.

Coaching staff update. Leon Hapgood is the new Technical Director and First Team Coach. Nik Ledgerwood is the new Assistant Coach and Community Relations Manager where he'll work with local youth clubs.

Don't go overreacting now TheIronMaiden

You guys starting to get excited? I am - Spring is around the corner, the Cavs are starting to train again as a team, and the first game of the season is only seven weeks away!

Ballou Tabla was the best teenage soccer player I have ever seen. He was electrifying. Our u17 Concacaf WCQ team would simply give him the ball and hope that he could do it all himself. He had more God given talent than any other teenager I've ever seen. He was playing up an age group in USSDA and still dominating. I still remember when he was unstoppable vs Roma in that friendly with the Impact.

He now joins the illustrious ranks of Hanson Boakai and Andrew Carlton, North American teenage phenoms who had attitude problems and wasted that talent.

I am excited to get out and support the team, however I am a bit worried about the talent level. I feel like we are no where near the top right now. Closer to 4th or 5th place. I am not at all convinced with our midfield. Really need a good couple of signings. Hopefully I am just worried for nothing as there is still lots of time to improve the squad. Or I am just a terrible judge of talent and we go out and win the thing with what we have.
