They're playing a team markedly worse in every metric including goal differential and overall record.
It takes talent to make them look as good as the Flames do. I have no answers for why this is a thing/continues to be a thing.

Chicago has a few good players, a couple really good prospects, and a "worse goalie" and they are running us out of the rink. It's as laughable as Markstrom's non-existent Vezina challenge.

It is funny how breaks go to the elite. They review and waive off a goal for the rook, even though the call is correct. Matthews gets a goal,today, when he was, clearly, a foot offside.

A. The Flames aren’t a good team and are significantly worse since they traded some of their best players (especially D).
B. They are playing badly, while Chicago seems to be playing well after getting reamed by their coach.
C. Chicago has still beaten some teams. They do have an OK goalie and a hot rookie.
