Oof. a younger Ekblad would have nailed that breakaway chance.

Just tuned in near the end of the second, in time to catch the pad save where Stamkos dove through the air and took out Bob. Heard something about Forsling getting hurt and Bennett taking a shot to the hand...
Injuries, man. It's my biggest fear with this team.

Yeah, Bennett was dominating this game, and then blocked a shot from his own teammate with his wrist and hasn't been back since. Everyone else is just getting banged up a little. this is playoff hockey.

Weak...weak slashing call. Two minutes for being strong. Verhaeghe didn't even break the stick, he just stick checked the dude and he fell down.

Pretty clutch, no?
|
Yes, we've already gone over 2004, when the man was 33 years old. He was a clutch player that year, obviously.
I was talking his whole career. He played for 20 years, he was clutch in one. Oh and in one other game in 2002.
I liked Gelinas a lot, and in fact he had a better career than Bennett will, in all likelihood. But he was held up as a guy who was always clutch. He was in 2004. But otherwise, not so much. He wasn't poor, he wasn't great, he was a decent player in the other POs he was in.

gotta give credit to Cooper. He has his guys selling out to check hard and play defense. Again, this is the most defensive minded I've seen the Lightning all year.
Overtime it is...first of many, I anticipate.

Cooper may be the best coach in the league. Helps to have the personnel, but I never see bad moves and his guys never panic.

Thought maybe GI but the puck went in first. That’s 4 OT goals in the POs for Verhaege?

That save by Bob turned out to be a game saver. Down 0-2 for Tampa is much different than a series split on the road. A major turning point in the series.
