Seems legit.

Asides from their lunatic antics and the freak talking cat They could be both be just a couple of A-holes that don't know a thing about running a service oriented resteraunt and everyone that doesn't like the food can just eff off according the want to be wiseguy Sammy and his mouthy bride.
or is there more to it i don't know but it is possible they knew exactly how this would play out if Ramsey didn't give them a shiny gold star on their foreheads.
Just a few things.
Sammy seems shady or at min a crusty old dirt ball that shoots angles. Perhaps knowing the network pays i would imagine a nice sum to the restaurant owners for being featured on the show.
That is his real angle here.
A quick payday.
Perhaps the business is losing its shirt with the little amount of business actually being done.
The restaurant is spotless and the decor reflects Sammy's heavy investment 1million he claims.
That freak job Amy probably thought Ramsey was going to come in and see how lovely everything looks and then help with their PR on all the deserved bad pr from the lol "internet haters".
I would not be surprised that this could even be a smaller part to an even bigger scam to sue the network and Ramsey by Sammy having their overbearing deluded nut case outbursts on display and then play the victim role how the program ruined their business and lives.

Does anyone know if they could be charged for claiming this social media account hacking blitz occurred when it is found out that there was no hacking?
Just their lies wasting police resources in a lame attempt to cover up their own backlash posts.
Also they went on a social media rampage before a year ago right so that would show their social media habits for these posts i would assume.

The restaurant being a front i don't buy because you don't want any attention to a cardboard business cleaning money.
But the IRS could come into play here with the tip money being ripped and unclaimed to Uncle Sam.

Yup, both of them actually say so, Samy during the shows intro about how "Chef Ramsay is coming to tell the people how the food is here", and Amy some point later.

Which really just shows incredibly deluded and stupid those people are. It doesn't take much of a brain to realize that it's just not how the show works.

If you are in Phoenix how could you not go to this place if they are open? Hell with going to a movie for entertainment. I would love to send my pizza back for uncooked crust for the sheer entertainment value.

I think that was the owners' plan all along. Mission accomplished. Ramsay was used.

Well it's possible but once their 15 minutes of fame are over they aren't going to be able to rest on curiosity and will have to either serve good food or go out of business. Also from the employees accounts this has gone on for a few years so I'm leaning towards them simply being crazy people over any plan. They just don't look smart enough to pull something like this off.

Would you actually eat the food if it was bad or would you send it back? Some of the food actually looked fairly decent and I imagine some of the problems may be in her overly complicating the recipes with too many diffrerent flavours.

I think I golfed right near there as it is right by a major street called Hayden,, which I shot a golf ball onto right into the middle of a bunch of high priced vehicles. missed them all somehow.

If I ever golf there again I will be sure to go.

The food probably wasn't that bad. I think the real issue with that restaurant is the ridiculously long wait times and the terrible customer service exemplified by both owners. I'm not saying that it's a gourmet restaurant, but even if the food is half decent, Ramsey is probably obligated to say that it's terrible to boost ratings.

The only food that looked good were the cakes they shipped in.

Looks like our favorite duo has made a change - tips are in...hourly wage slashed to $4.80.

“However, to avoid any misperceptions moving forward we will pay $4.80 per hour with all tips going to those serving the table. That is the standard practice and we will follow it. For our grand re-opening we will need to hire temporary contract staff through a professional staffing company and will pay their rates,” the statement says.

Unfortunately in the States that is usually normal. I don't think waiters or waitresses are subject to min wage.

I'm surprised the discrepancy in minimum wages is so pronounced. I know that in Ontario the difference in minimum wage for normal jobs and liquor sales is only $1.35 ($10.25 vs. $8.90), I figured it would be about the same difference everywhere. It seems that American waitresses rely on tips much more than their (at least Ontarian) counterparts.
