The latest trend I see in Vancouver is people waiting for everyone approaching a 4 way stop to come to a stop before they go into the intersection. Of course this always causes issues. The other is people stopping in the middle of any intersection the moment another car approaches or moves. I do not need to wait for you to be completely clear to start moving especially if I am going in a different direction than you. It's not like the car will get there instantaneously and hit you.
Don't get me started on pedestrians not crossing when you come to a stop. You are not helping anything by not doing what you are supposed to be doing. All it does is cause confusion especially if another car pulls up in the meantime.

This is actually becoming an issue. The speed at which people come to a stop at a crosswalk, and the people who just don't care to look and cross.
I almost got mowed down mid cross, someone just not paying attention. Sure enough after that some kid clips me from behind with his bike, he gets up and hes like sorry sorry I was looking at the road and not paying attention.

On the pedestrian one making sure the cars in other lanes stop may be the reason they aren’t going immediately

That's fair, but just because someone doesn't go in or post in a specific thread doesn't mean they're well with their mental health, and it doesn't give someone an out for posting terrible things. Speaking generally here concerning the Gaudreau leaving Calgary rumours that one poster at first hinted here (and then flat out said on his twitter) that he was close family friend and that's how they new Gaudreau was staying. They've now said it was Frank Servelli who passed that information to them.(which raises its own set of questions). You can't use mental health as a shield from criticism.
I have no own set of mental health issues, including some neurodivergincies, should that stop anyone from calling me out when I'm being an ahole? Hopefully not. I mean Jiri thanking your post in and of itself is rich considering he's picked and chosen who's mental health he cared about during covid.
dissenttowner is in a bad place, but making things up about a guys wife, then doubling down on it after he passed (facebook and here), deserves to be called out. It was a really f'n odd thing to add in his post, really god damn odd. You can lie about yourself all you want but when you bring other peoples lives into it you're going to get called out on it. The sooner this insider game ends for him the better.

^Really dude. You are coming after me for thanking that post because of some baggage you are carrying around since Covid?
You got your way. I stopped being a mod because of you. You win.
You don't need to continue to come after me.

When I posted under FormerPresJamesTaylor you DM'd Textcritic to say "that's MMF", even after I was posting openly who I was for over a year (). Text then instantly banned my account by using my real name in the ban message. So not being a mod didn't stop you.
You went on about mental health during covid and banned the prior account because I left a message on FlashWalken's "wall", even though I was replying to a message he left on mine. This was after I had posted what a positive outlet Calgarypuck was during shutdown.
So yeah, not a fan of your hypocrisy.

Breaking up is like knocking over a Coke machine. You can't do it in one push. You gotta rock it back and forth a few times, and then it goes over

That's fine. I don't need you to be a fan.
But I would suggest it does neither of us any good to continue this feud. I can't imagine what you are getting out of it. I get nothing.

Hey if you want to bury the hatcher or let it go, I'm game, just don't pretend to have dropped it after you stepped down as a mod. You continued.

You've always blamed me for everything instead of taking accountability for your behavior. And you are continuing to do that. I'm not a mod. I have no say (clearly) on who gets banned, except I can report posts like anyone.
But I'll put you on ignore and that'll be that.

Is everyone's PMs broken now? Every little feud going to get dragged out across multiple threads?

Well no, I actually didn't do that. If you'd paid attention to my emails to Calgarypuck (that you asked me to write then ignored), or the post that had you step down as a mod. I clearly took responsibility, you fail to admit your obsession.
Reporting a post is wildly different than direct messaging Textcritic.

What kind of person defends passing someone 1 km faster. The obvious answer is to just slow down and not pass.

Banned posters coming back as new posters, which is up to the mods, I guess, but why drag your old stuff back into here? You want a fresh start, just take it.

No issues with that of course. Referring to when you are the only car and pedestrians either do nothing or wave you by. And 90% of the time you can wait an minute and then decide to go and they will pick that precise moment to step out into the street. If you are not prepared to cross move away from the edge of the street.

Celebrated Square Root Day

Regarding posters making emotional exits. I'd say it would he better if they didn't (not a shot at dissentowner, just an observation). Thing is a lot of these posters have been here for decades and rely on CP to some degree (still the first place I go to wind down and check up on things after all these years).
You guys know you'll be back so the goodbye posts just come off as attention seeking, imo. Zamler does the same thing once or twice a year. Make a massive goodbye post, then appears to go but as soon as a couple posters mention his name he comes back and thanks everyone for their support and goes back to posting.
I think the healthier thing to do for all of us is to just step away for a month or so here and there without an exit post. Just give yourself some time off so you're not so hyperinvested in the board on the day to day.
And especially do so if things are getting heated for you and posting becomes unhealthy.
