She had an affair?

Oh wow, Republicans would never vote for someone like that.

People are inexorably stupid. She dated a man who had been separated from his wife for a decade. It wasn’t an affair and it wasn’t secret. Oh the huge manatee

She would get more votes from Republicans if she did have an affair. They hate their own spouses and fantasize about cheating on them all the time.

Just going to leave these here just because I find it to be mandatory viewing now and again.

McCain straight up telling his supporters to "not be scared" of his opponent. How the GOP has pooed on this man and his legacy is an embarrassment. Forcing Palin into his campaign and then smearing him for the rest of his life for doing nothing but just attempting to work for Americans.

Judge in Trump's federal election subversion case rejects defense effort to dismiss the prosecution

Quote:
In their motion to dismiss the indictment, defense lawyers argued that Trump was mistreated because he was prosecuted even though others who have challenged election results have avoided criminal charges. Trump, the Republican nominee in the 2024 presidential race, also suggested that President Joe Biden and the Justice Department launched a prosecution to prevent him from winning reelection.
Quote:
But Chutkan rejected both arguments, saying Trump was not charged simply for challenging election results but instead for “knowingly making false statements in furtherance of criminal conspiracies and for obstruction of election certification proceedings.” She also said that his lawyers had misread news media articles that they had cited in arguing that the prosecution was political in nature.

“After reviewing Defendant’s evidence and arguments, the court cannot conclude that he has carried his burden to establish either actual vindictiveness or the presumption of it, and so finds no basis for dismissing this case on those grounds,” Chutkan wrote in her order.

F*** I miss the days when elections were normal, boring events. Maybe I'm just looking at it through rose coloured nostalgia glasses, but I don't remember Americans being anywhere near as divided in 2008 as they are today.

Obama's presidency obviously broke something within the GOP and they've gone full bats*** crazy ever since. When 40-45% of the population would rather turn to fascism than elect a Democrat, you know you've lost the plot as a country and a society.

Trump pulls out of ABC debate as expected:

Quote:
Donald Trump says he is pulling out of a scheduled September debate with U.S. Vice-President Kamala Harris on ABC and wants them to face off on Fox News, making it increasingly unlikely that the candidates will confront each other on stage before the November election.

In a series of Truth Social posts late Friday, the Republican nominee and former president said his agreement to a Sept. 10 debate on ABC "has been terminated" because he will no longer face Democratic President Joe Biden, who ended his campaign last month after a disastrous performance in their first debate.

Trump now says he will appear on Fox News on Sept. 4 in Pennsylvania with rules that he called "similar" to his debate with Biden, but with a full audience instead of a mostly empty studio. Trump said that if Harris, the likely Democratic nominee, does not agree to the new network and date, he will do a "major town hall" with Fox News.

Michael Tyler, a Harris spokesperson, said Trump "is running scared and trying to back out of the debate he already agreed to and running straight to Fox News to bail him out."

It was not immediately clear whether ABC would turn its Sept. 10 event into a Harris town hall in Trump's absence. Tyler said Harris is committed to the time slot and would appear "one way or the other to take the opportunity to speak to a prime time national audience."

Let me get this straight,
I get a community strike just for not agreeing with DEI, and this user gets nothing for saying it's okay for a President to hang a political opponent? (and let's not forget many of the people on here who implied Trump surviving an assassination attempt was a bad thing or wished death on him.) I used to love coming to CP, but it's become a forum of radical leftists pumping each other's tires and attacking anyone who disagrees with them, and this includes some of the Mods. Some of you should really seek mental help or turn off the propaganda machine for a few months.

The comment is on presidential immunity, and how stupid that ruling was. The reality is that what's good for the goose is good for the gander. If you're not comfortable with your political opponent wielding a power granted to them, maybe it's a power nobody should have? If you can't understand satirical commentary, maybe politics isn't for you?

And many of those who wished death on Trump were also warned about their commentary, which was publicly stated by the moderators. But sure, let's all agree that political assassination is a bad thing for a functioning democracy and leave it at that.

I sincerely doubt your strike was simply about critiquing DEI in a rational manner, but that wasn't up to me either.

I don't want to assume what's in your heart, but you give a very bad impression around here that reeks of entitlement and racism. You might want to reflect on what you put out into the world for a bit before engaging in this again. If that's not who you are, you need a severe correction in what you say and post. Just something to consider...

...and that's coming from someone who isn't in the echo chamber on the left.

When you are siding with Hitler there are no "disagreements"

And it was radical leftist Vance who called Trump America's Hitler by the way...they couldn't find a VP that hadn't said the same or worse. His last VP WONT VOTE FOR HIM.

"propaganda machine" lol you are the one coming here to defend a convicted felon, sex offender, epstein flight logs, ect. ect.
I knew Trump was a con man long before he ran for president...go look at what he inherited and how much money he has...he has underperformed the market and nearly everything he makes is from licensing.

Sorry at some point a spade needs to be called a spade. I suppose you think Theo has a "different opinion"

If your opinion is dumb smarter people are gonna make fun of you...it can be your opinion that the sky is purple but that opinion would be wrong.
