Angry Birds got new levels about a week or two ago. Rio got new levels in May.

You would have to jailbreak and get an app called 3gUnrestrictor (at least that's what it was called when I used it).

Tiny Tower is sort of cool/mindless, and I think it's free right now.

Yeah was just going to suggest that. At first I thought it was going to be a good SimTower kind of game, but it's actually just Farmville with a different skin. Still fun though.

I decided to cheat by setting my iPhone's clock ahead, and it ruined the game for me. It wasn't as fun when I could gain a ton of money, and then the graphics got a bit screwy when I did that. I've now deleted the app, but it was fun while it lasted.

Tiny Tower is neat, but gets kind a bit old after a few days. Too bad it wasn't a bit deeper.

That's why I advanced my clock and cheated, but then it got old even faster!

if you're an HBO subscriber I would download HBO to go! tons of movies and all of HBO's series that they made like Band of Brothers and Generation Kill.

I think we have it, but it's more "HBO" than HBO.

It's probably not the most elegant solution, but I just take a photo of them with Evernote and throw them in their own notebook.

My wife who rarely plays anything more than Angry birds and Mijanoog <sp?> is addicted to Tiny Tower. Which is pretty impressive.
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but Army of Darkness Tower Defense... Yes, that Army of Darkness... Yes, the one with Bruce Campbell, Arthur, and Merlin (who all make an appearance in the game) ... is free at the moment. I got it a couple of days ago from 2.99 and I've really enjoyed it.

Photosynth is fantastic. It allows you to take panoramic pictures. Perhaps this isn't new, but I just found it and I think it's great.

You might want to look into an app called CardMunch. Snap a picture, add to contacts. Transcribed by real people as well and apparently they just added 1-tap LinkedIn connections.
Yes you have to pay for it, but the price is reasonable and you won't get screwed by a poorly scanned phone number.

In a similar vein, I've been playing with TiltShiftGen (on the iPad, but it's a universal app), to do tiltshift manipulation, and it's quite fun.
