Experienced coach it is. I love how he defined his next coach but then says we haven't definrled it yet.... Round and round we go.

I'd love Darryl back here as head coach. We had better win the cup right away though. I think he has a 5 year window.

Prepare for complete and utter vagueness as it relates to the subject of the next hire.

Basically he's said

We're outchancing opponents, why aren't we outscoring? He asked if it's lack of physical or mental finishing ability, didn't mention system at all. That's pretty concerning to me.

Oooh....see how the exact same logic can be applied right back to you?

Anyways, nothing happens if you dont try.
I think he would've been fired earlier, if there were a good selection of coaches to pick from.

said experience is critical. Is Peters experienced enough to fit?

None of this means anything if Treliving doesn't get this next hire right.

This decision is going to be huge.

Two years since the last hire. Really can't put into words how disappointed I am right now and not a lot of faith in him anymore.

Brad Trelving, and I'm not exaggerating, but barring trades he can skip the entire first day of the draft.

You dont trade away all of your draft picks if you're still rebuilding.

You're being obtuse. The rebuild isn't over, and you know that. And a few posts ago you suggested "Is this a 'middle of the road' team? After rebuilding? If it is then blow it up again"

So that's what you'd do at this point? Blow it up?

Completely over the top reaction.

Just for argument sake, because I have quite a few guys I want ahead of Peters, the same thinking could’ve been applied to Jack Adams front runner Gerard Gallant.

2.5 seasons in Columbus = 56-76-6 and no playoffs.

1.5 seasons in Florida = 58-36-10 one playoff season, upset in the first round.

Not exactly a sparking resume, yet was still highly thought of and now looks elite.

I think the coaching change sort of speaks for itself doesn't it?

Yeah, the rebuild is over. It started 5 years ago, all but the last pick are finished their ELC's and we're trading away high draft picks to compete now.

It's over, whether you want to admit it or not.

You have to reeeeeally read between lines with Treliving. He talks a lot without really saying anything - directly anyway.
