Each loss you get a medallion... and you can carry upto 5 at once. When you win you get the credit for the win and you redeem the medallions.
Just need to win 1 out of every six matches basically... Make sure you buy the tempered buff as well as it gives you a boost to rep earned through both the matches and the bounties. The buff increases each day too. Sunday your pretty much getting double xp as it's a 100% boost, Monday is 150%.
The emblem, shader, and class item each give you a 10% boost to rep each as well.
What's new too is that when you have a character and get him to say rank 3, your lower characters will get a boost in rep gained to speed them to the same rank of your higher character.
Decided to change things up and play much more conservative (scout rifle and Defender). It's hilarious the number of people and times they try to shotgun melee me in hopes of winning. Might not be a flashy super but I picked up a couple multi kills from the nonstop melee parties. Armor of Light and ACD/0 Feedback exotic (which is normally useless)
Also got Revenant shader, only one more and the ship to go for DO.

One of my favorite things to do in destiny is when defender's have a bubble party with like 3-4 teammates, I pop blade dancer with razors edge. People rarely expect it, and it is amazing.

To add on to the IB links already provided, this one is the ultimate guide in my opinion. The first time I really played IB I read this over and now I completely understand how it works and the best way to do it:
Essentially, play a few hours each night and use the tempered buff. That way you can clear the bounties daily (3 are really easy; earn XP, earn 15 heavy kills, capture 15 zones), which will really help your ranking.
Side note, I realized why I feel like I'm really good in PvP when IB rolls around. Leveling matters, and I check the roster now before every game and see a bunch of high twenties, low thirties (as opposed to full level 34). So sometimes I'll take someone down that I probably shouldn't have in normal PvP. It's a disappointing realization.

Welp, managed to hit rank 2.5 last night all the way from zero. Trying to get to rank 4 by this evening to grab the spear. Might be a bit of a challenge, 3,600 rep is quite the grind for one evening!

Had radegast's fury and ash factory drop this morning playing iron banner.
Re-rolled radegast's fury for tripod and grenades and horseshoes...not sure if I should try and re-roll to get those + javelin. Probably won't.
I already have an exodus plan with clown cartridge and grenades and horseshoes as well.
Need to decide whether I want max blast radius, or velocity.

I've been wanting to get a Grenades/Horseshoes + Clown Cartridge + Flared Magwell. Rockets for days.
I know Hopscotch Pilgrim has been very desirable and have been hunting for it with no luck. Picked up a KAU8 Constellation Scar and decided to reroll a bit to see how good it could be as a mid impact pulse rifle. Absolutely loving it right now even more than the Messenger. Feeding Frenzy, Smallbore and Counterbalance for 3 burst kills. Had Outlaw on it before and found Feeding Freezy to be pretty helpful even if it's 125% vs 150% on precision kills. Smallbore leaves it only with 21 in the magazine which is a little small but has the best range out out of all the pulse rifles I've seen with enough stability. Dueling with snipers in either lane of Pantheon and excelling at midrange.
Would have liked Hidden Hand but Counterbalance was necessary in eliminating the horizontal recoil.
Haven't found hopscotch pilgrim, but I had a spare change drop, which seems like it has very similar rof and impact. Worse stability, but I rolled a handlaid stock, so it seems to compete stability-wise (at the loss of range, but that's not a big deal).
Spray and play and secret round too, so I'm interested to see how I like it vs. red death (bae)

I've seen guys sit at the top of crucible games red-barring, but I don't see it often.
I haven't done trials yet, so I haven't encountered this level of BS.
Bungie announced yesterday that they would be starting to ban players based on connection manipulation though.

I don't play a lot of PvP but seeing this video make me want to play it less. Does this happen often or is it very rare.
I have not experienced cheating on that level in the crucible as of yet, and I've played quite a bit of ToO.
Worst I've seen was some lag switching (basically a really laggy guy you can sometimes hit), but nothing on the level of what was in that video.

Another random Trials match. I think Widow's Court when it's not just a snipe fest is my favorite map. Enjoying the MIDA more and more, especially with the Dynasty. Can't wait for the new sidearms.

Nice gameplay.
You have an interesting playstyle. Alternating between very passive, but transitioning to extremely aggressive at times.
Wish you played on Xbox1, it would be fun to match up against you.

Have all the armor...just need the weapons (although they don't hold a lot of appeal to me right now).
