That leader will become the next Kim Campbell as the Libs lose to the Cons in the next election.

The Cons are still going to win the election (probably in a landslide), but anyone but Trudeau will still swing a few votes back towards the Libs. Not because they're awesome, but because PP is just so unlikeable. Just hope they get their act together soon, as this country needs decent options, asap. NDP, too.

Changes to who can vote

The party is limiting who can vote to Canadian citizens and permanent residents who are at least 14 years old.

Previously, non-Canadian residents were allowed to vote in Liberal Party riding nomination and leadership contests, which have been called a "gateway" for foreign interference. A growing contingent of Liberal MPs have urged the party executive to heed those warnings.

A Mar 9th date was step one on Jagmeet taking a liberal deal to extend until October

Also you need to be member by Jan 27 to be able to vote.

Wasn't income splitting one of the first things that the Trudeau Liberals got rid of?

Glad to hear they have made changes to avoid foreign interference.

Do you have a source for the bolded? What are the other steps?

In my eyes, if Jagmeet extends to October the Liberals will gain more support, but that support will be at the expense of the NDP.

I'm guessing Trump's lunacy is a godsend for the Liberals and NDP, it won't win them the election, but it may pull them back into a closer race, reclaim a bunch of Ontario seats for them

This Rick Mercer bit came into my Youtube feed today. I thought it was kind of funny. It's 15 years old back when i doubt anyone had him on the radar as a potential future PM.

LOL. They aren't running against the greatest prime minister in Canadian history.

They are running against a rightwing dweeb created by the Manning Institute. hahahaha

Sorry the bolder section is my opinion, it was a throwback to the argument of a few days ago that was being had around how Jagmeet was going to force an election anyway on the 24th and the liberals wouldn’t have a leader by then and there is now way he he would support the government.

My contention was that the liberals wouldn’t adjust the rules to have the leadership vote early enough that would’ve time for the new leader to negotiate with Jagmeet.

So the the next steps are new liberal leader bribes Singh with expanding pharma.

The party will not be decimated like the Cons in 93 as they are still in one piece, not split apart. They just need a new leader and it's not shocking that they would lose power after 10 years.

They need a young leader for multiple cycles, like Melanie Joly who's only 45.

Not running this election. What they need this election is someone who offer stability and has good PR. Not someone who plans on sticking around for the next cycle.

We will get 4 years on CPC majority. Which in the long run shouldn't be a big issue since they know they need to follow a mandate or will lose Quebec, Onatrio ect.
