I just wanted to re-visit this post by EE as I recently acquired a Babolat Pure Aero VS 2020 edition (i.e. the model that Carlitos and Holger Rune supposedly use) and I have tried it a couple of times and it is a very nice racquet, but I also experienced some elbow and shoulder pain afterwards. I was told it was strung with Tecnifibre Black Code which is allegedly a very soft poly (I don't know the tension), but I've leaving it in the bag and have gone back to using my tried and true Yonex Vcore 95's.
Also, for Mother's Day, I surprised my wife with a Prince Phantom Pro 100, this racquet is very unique with a very thin beam (16.5 mm in the throat) and she loves it. Man, she was hitting some very nice groundies yesterday with it.
Anyway, this concludes my racquet talk for today lol.

I understand the 2023 Pure Aero is a little more arm friendly than past PA's but I've kind of moved on from Babolats as my Pure Drive was great for groundstrokes but for whatever reason I developed some shoulder issues on serve with that racquet. I'm using multifilament strings these days in a rotation of Technifibre X-one Biphase, NRG2, or Head Velocity MLT. I just don't like the hard feel of most Poly strings as the only one that I really liked was Hyper G Soft.

It should be added that Norrie did take a MTO as Novak was serving for the match, that probably bugged Djoker even more than the smash did.

Of course, this sets up a quarter-final match between Novak and Rune, that could be very spicy.

They just resumed play after a rain delay and Novak has won set 2 6-4 after dropping the first set 6-2. We're going the distance.

Rune up a double break in set 3. Novak calling out Norrie for "not playing fair" yesterday and is acting worse today than Cam.

At 35 he needs to accept he's likely going to start losing more matches than he's been accustomed to. Rune is turning into a really good player, almost on the level of Alcaraz and that's a good thing for tennis even if he can be a bit of a brat at times.

Rune got hosed on a call from the ump and then completely collapsed in the 2nd set. Surprised to see him rebound in the 3rd set

Way to go, Holger. That was a dominating performance in set 3 although it was helped by Novak kind of losing his mind out there as well.
