Looks like Romano can't be used 3 days in a row

At this rate, we are going to blow up Romano’s arm. We might need to get another guy who can close out games.
Edit to clarify: I don’t mean to replace Romano but to come in every few games to back him up.

Jays win!
Didn't like Merryweather coming into the game. Use your high leverage guys Montoyo, Merryweather isn't it.
Loved the at bats tonight. Not a ton of strikeouts, good patient ABs. Four in a row!

Celebrated Square Root Day

It's too bad as he looked lights out at the beginning of last season before the injury.

I wonder if Merryweather is a victim of the sticky stuff crack down.
Like jw says, he was lights out early last year, then while he was injured they cracked down, and he has never been even close to as dominant since returning.
It'd be interesting to see if his spin rates took a nosedive.
Too bad, the guy looked like an elite high leverage reliever who could put up K's for days.

Anyways, winning is fun.
Still not an explosive offense, but at least getting some timely clutch hits right now.
The starting pitching is so impressive.
Apparently Kikuchi dropped the cutter from his arsenal completely at the turn of the month, and in his 5 starts in May he's rocking a 2.36 ERA / 2.66 FIP / 1.023 WHIP and 31 K's / 11 BB's in 26.2 innings pitched.
Can you say ELITE?
Manoah / Gausman / Berrios / Kikuchi are all locked in for the next 3 seasons at least folks.

Oh, and one negative to gripe about.
Charlie is going to end Romano like he ended Giles if they let him continue to make his stupid decisions the way he does.
Uses Romano in game 1 with a 4 run lead. That's not even a save situation you dummy.
But OK fine, locked it down I guess. But then use him two more nights in a row?
Pure stupidity IMO

OF defence at least looks good. It is a bit odd to give Vlad a day off with an off day tomorrow but it’s not like Teo has done anything since he got back.

Context, man. Whipping boys Chapman, Biggio, Tapia and Zimmer all have been playing well in this series.
