They can still option him back down. Thing is the guy is such a hothead that he likely thought a game like that in the minors is a sign he’s back and was ready to start again. Now they can say they gave him a chance and leave him down for longer.

We didn't have a lot of options. As they mentioned on the broadcast, we got a ton of pitchers who are hurt.

Finally is the key word. For a Vladdy HR, for the Jays and Vladdy taking advantage of a crap pitcher and for the Jays getting RISP in.

Lol

Reading this thread I thought Manoah had given up 6 runs in the first inning. Go look and he struck out the side and gave up one run but unearned because of an error. Good grief you guys

Don’t they have a certain amount of times they can send him down before he has to clear waivers? I don’t know the specifics about those rules.

It’s not a high bar but manoah certainly looks better. Not all better, and the nationals rent very good but I like what I’m seeing, wonder how much weight he has lost. Looks like lots.

Me too. In fact reading this thread you would have no idea the Jays are up 6-2 in this game. That's certainly not the tone.

Haha me too, I got home checked this thread before turning the game on and was like "****, I guess manoah blew the game for us early" then saw 6-2 and was like wtf?

That kind of sucks for manoah, he for squeezed for a couple strikes that were called balls, which got the batter on base.

Ha, now thw ump gives him strike at the same spot once the pressure is off. I hate umps that call strikes and ball situationally. "Oh you're ahead of the batter you don't get that strike on the corner". "Okay, that was the first pitch of the at bat in the same spot, you can have that".
