"Vapor Trails was an album made under difficult and emotional circumstances - sort of like Rush learning how to be Rush again - and as a result, mistakes were made that we have longed to correct. David Bottrill's remixes have finally brought some justice and clarity to this deserving body of our work," says Geddy Lee.
The new albums by Haim, Lorde and CHVRCHES are all freaking fantastic.
Seconded. Picked all of these up and they are great. I also grabbed The Nationals new (May) album and it is great, can't believe I went all summer without this one.

New PJ album is pretty darn good. I like this one better than Backspacer.

Too much there in 1:25 to like it all but favorite must see/must hear moments for me are at 22:00 to 27:00 and then again 52:00 to 55:00. Haven't watched the entire thing but have listened to it a couple of times. Anyone who has watched it want to GDT the screenplay.
Arcade "Reflektor" metacritic score well off of "Neon Bible" and "Suburbs" : http://www.metacritic.com/ After 10+ times through I would have to agree that there are just a handful of songs that are worth skipping to and the sun will set on this album well before it did on their last two. Not just musically either.....lyrically it isn't as good either.

Some critics are calling it a bold artistic reinvention, in the nature of Achtung Baby or Kid A.
THE BASS TONE IN "HERE COMES THE NIGHT TIME" IS SUPER-SICK! PERVERSE-SOUNDING! LIKE A BARGE CAREENING INTO AN ICEBERG! INEVITABLE DOOM!
The Arcade Fire have released an album that elucidates our constant psychic vacillation between uber-connection and utter disconnection. They ask you to be aware of your fractured attention span/psyche/in touch with your humanity. Arcade Fire so mercifully avoid the Nuremberg-rock cliches ("Hey!") in favor of sleaze, anxiety, and pathos that you can dance to. Reflektor is an utterly 2013 record that asks the existential questions "Where are we now?" and, more importantly, "Where are we going?"
In the words of Joe Strummer, "Straight to hell, boys."

So I've given Reflektor about 15 spins or so. I think it is pretty great. There are some weaker tracks for sure, but there is also some great music that I'll enjoy for many years to come. The Suburbs was better, but Reflektor is still more hit than miss.
I agree. I think I would rank it above Neon Bible. Aside from that... I don't know. I like it more every time I hear it. Normal Person and Here Comes the Night Time are very good.
The thing I like about it is they have kept true to form on their artistic side. I don't mean to sound hipsterish, but its great to hear a band that isn't afraid to try just about damn near anything. It's what got them here, so good for them, but you don't often hear that kind of stuff at the level of fame they have accomplished. Kind of like Radiohead, not nearly on the same level please don't crucify me, but exploring every avenue and not afraid to put something out there that might fall flat.
I would buy an album and put it on the shelf just to support that train of thought.
