I know running backwards to escape the rush worked all the time in college for Caleb, but it just doesn't in the NFL.

I've mentioned it before but I absolutely hate the ineligible man down field penalty as it ruins offensive football, in my opinion.. I really wish that the NFL would look at this rule and make some sort of friendly change.

Maybe I underestimated the Raiders willingness to get the #1 pick, that was an elite tanking drive after the interception.

Why?
Its a pretty straight forward concept that has been around a long time.
Guys need to know what they are doing.
And LOL at the Raiders...that was pathetic.

It would favor the offense too much, would not be a fair fight.

I want to see offense. I think a reasonable change might be something like if the pass is short of the line of scrimmage keep the 1 yard rule for the o-line but if the pass is down field don't have the 1 yard rule. Does a lineman being 2 yards instead of 1 make a difference on a 20 or 30 yard pass?
