Maybe he just really likes the weather in England and is looking forward to no more Continental European travel?

I wouldn’t get too excited. That’s a bad football team, and Kroenke got the trophy he actually cares about tonight anyway.

I never get too excited, it is Arsenal.
However saying that's a bad football team is objectively wrong now.
The youngsters are very good talents, the defence is stable for the first time in a decade and Ramsdale has been tremendous in net.
They may not get 4th but there's a ton of positives the club hadn't had in a long time and very clearly moving in a positive direction.
Can't say any of those positives for Spurs, no idea what direction they're going.

They've scored 2 goals in 2022.

van de Beek goes to a manager who rates him and immediately delivers. I'm SHOCKED.

As you were discussing a Top 4 league position, it's only fair to note we've only played three league matches in 2022. It's just as easy to say Arsenal have only been kept off the scoresheet in one PL match in 2022. The points Arsenal have dropped and are likely to going forward are reflective of a team relying on a very promising young core.

Ooh, the old cherry pick a random date and stat of no relevance argument.
Next tell me how few points the Flames had in December.

Yeah, let's not forget that they were too scared to play Spurs last month!

Another crap performance saved by a Ronaldo moment and Dunk having a Maguire moment.

That's him. All he's good for is lucky tap ins.
Seriously though I wouldn't be surprised if he moves on in the summer and that's ok. I wouldn't blame him from moving on from that mess.
Eventually though I think he'll team up with Beckham in Miami.

Of course Ronaldo is capable of pulling off the odd moment of magic. He's one of the most gifted footballers I've ever had the pleasure of watching.
No team can win much at the highest level when it is built around a player who has such a low work rate. This isn't a criticism of Ronaldo, it is just a statement of fact. He's 37 years old, and there haven't been many (any?) players, particularly strikers or wingers, who can put in a regular shift week in and week out at that age. It was a feel good vanity project that was made for commercial reasons, not footballing reasons, and the current state of the club more than proves it.
Look at the amount of work guys like Mane, Firmino, Jota, and Salah put in each week. They're tracking back, forcing turnovers, trapping defenders into bad situations where they are forced to make bad passes upfield, and they consistently press as a unit to put the opposition under pressure. Manchester United are built around trying to play long balls upfield to a player who is clearly well past his prime, and unable to track balls in the channels down. His goal today was a perfect example. Wait for someone else to cause a turnover and play the ball to him, then score with an isolated shot totally against the run of play. I agree that he'd do well in MLS, as that is one of the few leagues he'd be able to get away with such a low amount of effort.

Is it really fair to criticize Arsenal for not going to New White Hart Lane when Spurs players don't even bother showing up there anymore?

think it was unlucky for Brighton. IMO it was a 50/50 call and no clear and obvious error, so not really a situation where VAR should get involved. But once an English ref is called to the monitor, you can bet money on him overturning the original decision.

That Alisson to Salah goal was a thing of beauty.
Another assist for the Goalie.
