I don't see any clear winner at this point, Redford has been all defense and as old-fart said, not a very good defense. Mind you she is being attacked from 3 directions.
Had to laugh at Mason and Raj 1 on 1, they just ignored each other for most of it and savaged Redford uninterrupted

Is that what debates have devolved into, who has the "best zingers"?

Mason and Raj can't be committing leftie on leftie violence.
Also Raj has had good zingers but of the 4 he's been the most detailed in his plans and I think he makes some valid points about private schools and pay reduction obviously.

Excellent question!! Why have you changed your mind so often Alison, why have you tried to buy this election when your ass is so clearly in a sling??

I feel dirty in that this debate has me wanting to vote Liberal.

Where you been the last 20 years?
Not much is learned in debates other than reiterating platforms.
Smith just destroys Redford on flip flops.
Raj follows up by smacking her around some more...

Redford almost needed a knockout punch on Smith to be able to recover this election, instead she's looked angry and a bit flustered, she hasn't defended well, and she's absorbed some pretty hard body blows by all three of the other party.
Raj has done a decent job so far, but I don't think his platform is really what Albertan's are going to want and I think the voters are going to tell him that.
Mason has done a decent job so far he's mostly landed some decent shots on Redford, he was handled pretty deftly by Smith.
Smith has done ok in this debate, its clear that she's more polished of a public speaker then the other candidates, she tried the demand tactic on Redford's salary a'la the infamous Mulroney knockout punch on John Turner. She hasn't gotten that yet.
The biggest thing is that Redford had to land some major punches on Smith, she's badly failed to get the big win that she's needed so far.

I kinda though this would happen. Smith and Redford going back and forth and Raj attacking them both while making points. But in a roundabout way this will hurt the PCs because Raj would be stealing from her base more than the Wildrose base.

Have to admit that Smith has done a pretty damn good job so far. Needs to stand up a bit to Redford. Redford looks like a complety BIZNITCH. She looks truly angry + viscious.
Mason + Sherman sound lost and dont know how to handle themselves. Getting completely schooled, in the debate, by Smith + Redford.

The only thing missing so far during that was Mason landing blows while Ray cupped his ear to the audience before pointing at Redford Hulking up and yelling "YOU!"

Possibly a good thing in many ways... Smith needs more of it.
Get rid of these two other clowns- this is a two pony race.

I don't know if Redford has bad facial ticks, but when Sherman was hammering her on buying the election and her flip flops she her eyes were going in two different directions and steam came out of her ears.
If Wildrose wasn't in a majority position tonight they might be tomorrow.
Redford just got hammered for 15 minutes straight.

Agreed. Raj and Mason can relax as they know they aren't forming the government after this election. They have no chance. Smith is the front runner ... She has to not lose this debate, but she doesn't need a knock out shot. Redford has to land one. Her weak Dani dollars jab isn't even close to what she needs, and she (to me at least) has come off as arrogant and petulant.
Not a great showing from poor Allison, and she needed to be a superstar.

I think that Smith needs to spank Redford on the Danibucks, the booga booga they're going to have to burn schools down and fire everyone to pay it is pretty much wrong.

So far the biggest moment so far was the flip flop and lack of leadership from Redford that she completely failed to explain or defend. Hammered on pay and leadership by all three, with no answers but glares and dagger-eyes.

Wow, is Redford a petty and petulant "leader". She looks horrible!! Wifey thought she may vote PC, but is astounded at how angry and mean she sounds.
I am still quite impressed with Smith and her performance. She's handled it with WAY more class and leadership than Redford by a mile.
