I just think some EV owners find that it isn't much of an issue, and then assume everyone else who does have issues is doing it wrong, or don't exist.
I had actually just read this story this morning:
SCOOP: Alberta has paused participation in a national program that matches kidney transplant candidates with living donors because the province lacks surgery capacity #abpoli #abhealth

####ing unbelievable incompetence. Well done Alberta, you managed to piss away another boom and still have absolutely pathetic health care to show for our vast wealth.
Good job voters, you morons. Maybe the naturopath in chief can donate 2 of hers, I bet she could live a good long while without any. Worth a try, anyway.
The south program only does kidneys, as far as I am aware, so the south one will probably be overloaded in short order.
Ot's ok though, I'm sure only a few people will die while on dialysis, because our science inept premier and voters don't understand how the basics of vaccines work and masks work, and maybe you could, you know, promote those things to help reduce load in the medical system. Oh well! At least she'll illegally go to bat for a massive POS human directly responsible for the deaths of Albertans. And STILL find enough ####ing moronic voters to put her in charge.
(or maybe should rephrase as who would make the best leader of the AB NDP...as to avoid answers like TBA David Parker...)
Shannon Phillips is someone who has impressed me with having the acumen to probably handle just about any portfolio. If she wants to be leader is another matter.
Three names leading the speculation so far - Ganley, Hoffman, Pancholi. Probably safe to put Phillips in the contender category as well, we'll see if she launches a campaign, rumour is she's not interested.
Quote:
Edmonton MLA David Shepherd is said to be preparing his candidacy, building on the image he burnished as health critic during the pandemic, and new MLAs Jodi Calahoo Stonehouse and Samir Kayande may also kick tires and scrounge together deposit money. (Former environment minister Shannon Phillips, perennially whispered as a contender, is said to not be interested.)
As for outsiders, Alberta Federation of Labour's longtime head Gil McGowan's name bounces around the rumour mill, while former Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi endorsed the NDP last election and
perennially attracts speculation — though he also tends to detest partisan politics.
As predicted, Rachel Notely has resigned as the leader of the NDP. They will now be going into a leadership race. Take Back Alberta will be travelling the province in the coming months encouraging people to buy memberships in the NDP and make their voices heard. Democracy is the path out of this mess. When the NDP cancel their leadership race, we will know they no longer believe in democracy.
#WeAreComing
So if I read this right, David Parker is going to "fix" democracy, but inserting TBA into the NDP leadership race and rig it how they want, to again, somehow fix democracy.

They wouldn't be doing this if they were confident their own policies would win wide support.

It's not democracy unless I control both parties! - Parker, probably.

There should be a site that identifies all David Parker/TBA-endorsed candidates for these positions on the various boards and parties in Alberta. That way, it can be communicated to the masses what that group is trying to get involved in, and who to be aware of that represents their regressive/backwater/fringe conservative policies.

Kind of a strange tweet since Stephen Carter doesn't represent the NDP, don't think he is a member, nor is he running any campaigns that we're aware of at this time...
He wouldn’t have to be a member to run someone’s campaign though. Or, he could just buy a membership.

The same group then complains about the WEF having influence in governments.....
