Wasn't really a choke job. Colts offense just dominated the entire football game. Jags offense was pretty good tonight until they made that 1 mistake and that was the football game. With the way Manning was playing tonight, Jags had no room for error and that Ratliff INT was the 1 big mistake they made (nice to see him get the INT after he had 2 fumbles last week)!
Colts clinch a playoff spot for the 7th season in a row (all with atleast 11 wins....a win next week and it's 7 straight 12 win seasons, an NFL record). I hope Harrison, Sanders, Addai all get the week off next week. I'd start everyone else.
WOOT, huge win Colts! 8 straight!

Actually, didn't Jenkins drop a pick 6 in the first half?
Jags weren't without error before that.
That said, they moved the ball at will on the Colts which gives me a glimmer of hope that the Broncos might have a slight chance of keeping a playoff game within reach.

Do you mean Jennings? Yeah he nearly had an INT.
Colts defense was pretty brutal in the 1st half today. Resting up the entire starting roster for 17 days will help (it will be mainly backups next week versus Tennessee). Sanders, Addai, Harrison, Freeney, Mathis, Brackett will all be resting and won't play next week......and i'm not sure yet if Wayne, Gonzalez, Clark, and Manning will play either.

It was a choke job at the end. Should have went to overtime.
An NFL QB cannot miss a wide open receiver in the end zone like that and then take a sack with no timeouts left.

There was an awful holding call on JAC in the first half that really changed the momentum of the game. If the call was not made, JAC could have scored on that drive - game over.

True that was a terrible holding call. But even at 17-0 or 21-0 I don't think the game is over against Indy.

I'm still not sold on the Colts but they have rightfully earned a playoff spot. I think they lose if they end up in Pittsburgh for the AFC Championship.

There was a brutal roughing the passer call on IND that resulted in the 24-14 JAC TD. Had the call not been made then JAC would have been forced to punt and 7 points off the board. It balanced itself out. JAC did the exact same thing to Manning and no call.

Well I think the first call may have been warranted, but I do agree that on the next drive Manning took the same type of shot and there was no call which would signal that the officiating was inconsistent. Than again, all that would have done is reduce Mannings passing yardage from 364 to 349. He was lights out last night.
The Colts current run of playoff appearances is pretty solid stuff. I suppose the only blemish would be that like the Atlanta Braves despite their excellence it hasn't resulted in a lot of championships. But a Superbowl this year would help temper some of that.

One good thing about the Saints being out is I can now focus all my attention on the tight race down the stretch. It's gonna be a great couple weeks, I can't wait for that Dallas/Baltimore game tonight! I can't believe how competitive the league is this year, its great. Do you realize we could potentially have an 11-5 team miss the play-offs?? I heart parity.
EDIT: Panthers/Giants should be a beauty too. I think Carolina may be my pick to win the Super Bowl this year.

It's really too bad that Division winners are automatically in.
I understand the rationale behind it, but teams like Arizona and Denver have no business being in the playoffs let alone hosting a home playoff game.
At least the the races are tight and makes it enjoyable to watch - and what perfect luck for the NFL having Pit vs. Ten and NYG vs. Carolina batlling for top spot in each conference the same weekend.

I'm probably a terrible Cowboys fan for asking thing, but I haven't been keeping up with the standings. What are the playoff implications for tonight's game against the Ravens?

Totally. I agree that division winners should automatically make the play-offs, but its a shame that out of the Jets, Ravens, Dolphins and Pats, only two will make the play-offs, and in the NFC two of the Cowboys, Bucs, Falcons and Eagles will miss, while two lesser teams essentially get a free pass for playing in junk divisions.
I just love how many good teams there are this year, its great.

Depends on what happens in the other games. You're in a dogfight with the Bucs, Falcons and Eagles for two play-off spots. If the Boys lose tonight and two out of the Bucs(vs. SD), Falcons(vs. Minny) and Eagles(vs. Was) win, you're in trouble. Basically you don't want to lose, as the play-offs are then out of your hands and you'll have to scoreboard watch and pray.
You've got the Eagles at the Linc next week, that could be for the play-offs.

This is shaping up to be a great week of football. The AFC East looks like it will come down to next weeks Jets and Dolphins game if those teams can avoid slip ups this week. The NFC Wild Card is going to be a fight here too. I know I'll be watching the Cowboys and Ravens game tonight because whoever wins that game gives themselves a big time inside track towards a playoff berth. Should be one hell of a defensive fight too.

No....Die Pats, Die! Actually I think early on in this thread I still thought the Pats would win 10 games and make the playoffs after the Brady injury. They'll win 10 games, but that still might not win the Division or make the playoffs which is really something else. I don't know what would be crazier....an 11-5 team missing the playoffs, or 2 teams with 10-6 records not making it.

This Ravens/Cowboys game is huge. If Baltimore wins I assume they will get the #6 seed as I think they will beat the Jags at home next week, if they Ravens lose tonight I think they are done as I think then the Patriots would get the #6 seed.
I think the Jets, Dolphins and Patriots will all win their games this week. Additionally, I think the Patriots will win their game next week too. So IMO the loser of the Jets/Dolphins game is done and if the Ravens lose tonight they are done but if they win the Patriots are done.
