the premise is stupid, but weirdly addicted in doodle god. no real action, but there is a slight pleasure from figuring out how to make a phoenix, gunpowder, fish or dragon.
cool game

I have about 15 hrs of traveling this weekend coming up (From Victoria to Vegas and back), and I look at my iPhone, and I have finished most of the games on there.
Can you please suggest some good timewaster games for me? here is what I have played in the past:
Angry Birds
Fragger
Tilt To Live
Peggle
Plants Vs. Zombies
Doodle Jump
Cut the Rope
Tiny Wings.
More suggestions????

The garmin app gets slammed on the app store, but I have a hard time believing its as bad as people say. The TomTom app looks pretty good overall.
I'd be using either app on both an iPhone and iPad 3G

I haven't used Garmin, but I do enjoy the TomTom app. It isn't the best but the google search is strong (reviews for the Garmin report it not working well) and the interface is decent. I don't love it but once you get used to it it's fine. I use a third party car mount... while the tomtom specific mount apparently has stronger GPS I can't tell a huge difference between my tomtom app and my parents actual tomtom, so I don't find it necessary.

I once filled up the entire screen playing snake, the snake was literally forced to eat it's tail. Probably my proudest gaming achievement.

I have Magellan road mate, and it works awesome. I bought the Canada/Alaska pack and i was 32 bucks I think. Works awesome, and full of features. I also noticed it has pretty much any US address I punch in.

Pocket Casts gets my vote for iPhone app of the year (for me)... awesome podcast manager that push notifies new episodes, allows downloading or streaming, has a nice tile based browsing interface, simple playlist creation, etc.
No more suffering with iTunes to handle podcasts or running to the basement to sync each morning. The 3G streaming is awesome - cleared up a ton of space on my iPad and iPhone that is usually otherwise tied up with podcasts.

That's what a 120GB iPod is for!
Also, Das Cube is free right now...pretty fun little cube smashing game. One of my many 2 minute time passing apps.

Does anyone know of an iPhone/iPad app that is a calendar that will sync automatically between devices the same way Evernote and Dropbox sync? My husband and I have been using Evernote for a grocery list that we keep updated constantly on our phones. The fact that it insta-syncs to the other guy's phone is really handy. It occurred to me that a calendar that can do the same thing would be awesome. We wouldn't have to worry about double booking ourselves anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just use the Calendar app on the phone itself. My wife and I sync our devices with google calendar. We can update from either iDevice or the PC. Everything syncs instantly and you can even set it so that it will send you an email if anything is added or updated.

I do the same, and I have one with the other couple I'm building a duplex infill with. Everyone is an admin on the calendar, anyone can create an event, and everyone is notified. Works across platforms.

I want to run 20K. However, when running I have my iPhone on random play and when, let's say, Offspring comes on, I run faster with longer strides than if I am listening to Elvis Costello. So if I use a standard pedometer to measure my 20K it would be quite off. Is there any app on the iPhone that could use the GPS to tell me how far I have travelled? So I mark a start point, let the GPS follow me and tell me how far I have run from that start point?
