I'm quite negative and pessimistic when it comes to free agents and players that have control choosing Calgary, but we have a strong contingent of young American players here. Hanifin and Eichel specifically have a close friendship by the sounds of it.
Just like our Swedish contingent playing a role in bringing Markstrom here, I think our American group is a benefit. It sounds like it helped with Coleman too.
Trading a package along the lines of what's been suggested, followed by re-signing Gaudreau and Tkachuk would set us up nicely long term IMO.

Considering that part of his job is to help athletes rehabilitate after surgeries, and another part is helping them rehabilitate instead of surgery, I'd say it's his professional duty to know a good deal about what's likely to work and what isn't.
He is absolutely right about one thing: Prosthetics don't hold up under extreme usage. They weren't designed for it, and unlike real human tissue, they don't have the capacity to heal from wear and tear.

It’s in there best interest to do this now. Eichel could play in October if they get this done but the clock is ticking and his value drops every week this drags on.
Can he just have the surgery and if they void his deal he becomes a ufa?
