McDavid with 9 pts in 4 games. All they have to do is saddle a halfway decent team to the guy and he'd be putting up the best playoff numbers of this generation.
I should hate McDavid with my heart and soul at this point of his career, but I just feel bad for him.

Don’t feel bad for him.
A guy like Crosby could have taken more money but preferred to have other players on his team and has Cup rings to show for it.
McDavid can’t be bothered to play a 200 foot game

I don't feel bad for McDavid at all. He chose to extend his misery to cash in. He could have took the least amount of years possible and then got the hell out of Dodge.

I go to the Oilers 50/50 page and I don't see a link to buy tickets, but the total keeps going up, so they're still selling them. Is there something special you have to do?

I was going to say I bet we never see it again...but once the league is up to 32 teams, I would not be shocked to see them move to this playoff structure as the new norm.
More games, more teams involved, more revenue as they try to recover from the damage done.
