Menu includes*:
-Selection of bread and crostini with honey‑whipped butter and roasted garlic hummus
-Harvest squash soup with roasted Alberta squash, coconut cream, spiced pumpkin seeds and green onion oil
-Dijon-marinated flank steak with potato dauphinoise, coal‑roasted heirloom carrots and chimichurri sauce
-German gluten‑free chocolate cake with mocha filling, praline‑toasted almonds and stone fruit sauce

It's been a while since I was at The Guild, but it had always been pretty great. For $50pp all-in, I can't see how you could go wrong if the menu items appeal to you.

It is actually $50 for the package for two people not $50 per person. I decided that at $50 it was probably too good of a deal to pass up and placed an order for next Thursday. I'm not crazy about the soup but hopefully the steak and dessert are exceptional.

I totally misread it as a pp and dine-in.
In that case, $50 for two sounds even better... Hope you enjoy! Please report back.

You could soon have pizza or a burger with breakfast after FDF Brandz — which owns Ricky’s, Fatburger, and Famoso Pizzeria + Bar — announced it has acquired 35 Humpty’s locations across western Canada.

Macleod Trail & 25th was a corporate location, closing down. Making room for medical clinic or weed shop from what I hear.

Mill Street is done. Owner by Labbats but still sad for those losing their jobs. Also worth noting they were citing for violating covid regulations

Tough location made impossible with no Saddledome events. Beer was nothing to write home about, but it was a great pit stop to/from Flames games.
Bring back the Republic!

Had the Clay Oven Indian tonight. Man, flavours are so fantastic but there's a price to be paid! Some of the best Naan.

Noticed a place called Mikeys Taco Shop on 4th st NW. They claim to make “authentic” Mexican tacos and the menu looks promising. Has anyone been? It’s a little bit of a drive from Dalhousie but I’m wondering if it’s worth the trip?

Reviews seem pretty good. $10, not much of a risk, what's the worst that could happen?

had it on the weekend, good stuff and actually good value at 3 for $10. The pork and beef tacos are so overstuffed with meat, I'm completely full after 3. but my brain couldn't process this information because I'm used to the anemic rip-off tacos from the fancier joints in the city, so I went for the 4th one. that was for lunch, and I didn't eat again until brunch the next day.
get the churros too! fluffy with excellent chocolate sauce.

They are good, but messy. Don't plan on eating in your car, and going to a business meeting after!
