I compared our stats for PVP (my xbox gt is "L Ghostrider i" if you want), we are pretty close in most respects, but your win% in ToO is insane; I take it you have a pretty good team that you play with?

Nooope. Not good enough for that. I've basically finished with Trials since I got everything lol.

Yeah there's a small group of guys, one in particular I regularly play with so we've got great synergy...is what I'd like to entirely attribute it to but he's a step or two above me.
Have gone on DestinyLFG and have been relatively lucky in finding a solid group through that as well.
I have gear that make me a level 34, but the big downside is all that gear has virtually no discipline. With the leveling "turned on" for IB, would it be better to have high-discipline, level 33 gear, or low-discipline level 34 gear. I'm leaning the level 33 route because the one level difference cannot be that huge and having grenades twice as often (that's the approx difference in disciple for my gear) must outweigh that.
Thoughts?

Which class? As a Titan, I'm all about INT and STR, I'm fine with having low DIS, especially because there's gear that doubles my grenades if I feel I need it.
But yeah, being 34 will make the biggest difference overall regardless.
Gear from IB this week seems pretty underwhelming. Pulse rifle is meh. Jolders is pretty good, but BTRD is easily as good and I have 3 of them....
Really only thing is Etheric Light I guess.

Hmmm - a bit surprised on the responses. Level 34 it is! I am a hunter and usually run bladedancer in PvP. Intellect is fine for whatever gear I wear, but my 34 gear trades off with high strength vs high discipline.
Maybe I'll try running gunslinger for the knives? I feel like bladedancer is just built for PvP though.
I guess I'll just grind for the Etheric Light so I can get some other gear to 34 as well.

Going to sit on the otherside of the fence and say if you have little to no discipline, go be a 33 while having ideal int/disc split. If you were to try and compare the damage you do as a 33/34 it's virtually unnoticable. A damage here or there but not enough to change the number of shots to kill or time to kill. Same goes for the reverse. It starts making a difference when you're around 3 levels below.

I have to disagree.
If you are level 33 and stick a level 34, you won't get the kill.

Last night I got stuck with a fusion grenade, I'm 34, he was a 32, and it killed me... hell we were getting run through by a 28 last night that left us all a little confused about power levels being enabled.
I don't know how it really works, you'd think that it would've been like PvE, if you're a 34 you should have 1786 hit points, and weapons should do the same damage as they would on a PvE enemy. That way a high impact weapon like a Hawkmoon should one shot kill you with a head shot... That is what I first thought when I heard that levels were enabled.
Iron Banner, and Trials of Osiris should ditch the radar though... Especially Trials, would make it that much more skill based, and more reaction. Sucks at times cause you can't really have a strategy to sneak around, you get beat cause others are better at watching a radar then you... but that's just my opinion based on playing hardcore mode in battlefield 4

Bladedancer invis takes you off the radar. Couple that with lucky raspberry + arcbolt grenade....flanks can be deadly.

I'm assuming you're talking about Flux grenades since they've always been a little iffy. I've survived some of them in regular crucible without the Ram as well.
The level differences are really not that noticeable on average.
So I ended up trying both as the IB grind was much longer than I expected (but did get to level 5 for the first time).
When I was on level 34, I found I came out of a few fire fights with very little health, but health none-the-less. If the level had been different, I probably would have died instead. However, I found myself dying often because I set up a play to throw a grenade and didn't have one ready (and didn't realize it wasn't ready).
On level 33, I felt like I had a few more moments of "how did they not die there", but they seemed few and far between. I had grenades about twice as often and definitely used them much more effectively, and rarely tried to throw one and it not being ready.
I'd say level 33 was better than 34, just because of the grenades and how much I use them in crucible. In the end it didn't matter because I was able to level up once I got my first etheric light.

I've been playing a fair amount of crucible lately hoping to get a BTRD and a party crasher +1.
I'm even starting to enjoy crucible now...pulled my overall k/d up to 1.1
I was so used to playing COD run and gun, and having a k/d of 1.5+, so it's been a huge adjustment to hang back, and focus on flanking, but I'm starting to get there.

I lucked out during Iron Banner and ended up getting 4 of them, and the Iron Banner rocket launcher.
Rolled the launcher to get Hard Launch, Tripod, Javelin, and Grenades and Horseshoes.
Don't really know what would be good on the BTRD. Rolled one with Hidden hand and noticed in PvE it's pretty much a crit all the time so I might keep that one.
