Next GOP debate is coming up so of course we get the latest round of Trump, Carson and other candidates complaining about the debate.
The reason this time was it was going to be too long....3 hours with no opening statements. So CNBC has acquiesced and the debate will be two hours long (including commercials!) and will have opening and closing statements.
So essentially you are looking at about 45 minute of debate and with the constant ducking of questions and lack of anything substantive maybe about 5 minutes of quality discussion out of this group.
And the class of the GOP field comes to the forefront with Paul's aide saying CNBC could go blank themselves if they don't agree to the demands.
To her credit, Fiorina had criticized the complainers for not wanting to answer questions and pointing 3 hours isn't long especially with 10 people on the stage.
I was thinking about this the other night during the Dem debate, but I think the Republicans should just have a rotation throughout the debate where the 12-16 candidates switch in and out but only have 4 people actually on stage at once. As to Trump and Carson, the debates can only hurt them now so it wouldn't surprise me to see them look to dodge every one for the rest of this calendar year and come back to them next year when the field has whittled down.

This would be different otherwise?
They could stand their all night and 5 min might still be on the high end.

Or how about making conferences like they have in sports? divide them all into 2 groups, the 2 winners face off at the end.
I'm so happy I added a relative of mine on FB, she married an American Soldier in the 70s and lives in Griffin Georgia, the stuff she posts is just such gold.
Spoiler!

That pretty much sums up todays American Conservative. Obama hate, Hillary hate, illegals, muslims, god and guns

Honestly though why would you glean something off your friends/relative facebook, and then post it somewhere else so that everyone who aligns with your views can deride and make fun of it?
Without them being able to defend their thoughts?
I'd call it petty but that doesn't seem like a strong enough word.

I've found that most of the people I know that post things like that aren't really interested in defending their thoughts.

The God, Guns and racism crowd isn't known for their thoughtful defense
Sure. But could the thread actually be about important news related to American politics, and not "hey, check out what my 'friend' on Facebook posted, what a maroon!"
I'm getting second hand embarrassment. Petty and juvenile behaviour. If you have a issue with what your 'friend' puts up on Facebook why don't you take it up with them instead of dragging it back here for everyone to see?

Not sure why this bothers you so much, but these memes are pervasive on the right in American politics and is a big part of why so many on the right believe in things which have no basis in reality, the "Fox news" effect as its called.
How is it embarrassing, did I post who it was, did I drag them into this? Nope, I shared some of the typical memes which float around which show just how partisan and detached from reality the right has become.

why? that person personifies the typical Conservative at the moment
-anti Obama/Hillary
-racist/xenophobic
-anti LGBT
-pro guns
-pro god
In Canada that person would be an extremist, but in America that person is a Republican voter.
It's interesting to note that the latest Republican scare tactic is that Democrats are bringing in Mexicans to vote Democrat and live off the free goods the Dems are willing to give them. That seems to be the latest rant by people like this. They won't accept that Bush(s), Reagan etc. did about the same for Mexican immigration. They also won't accept that there are so many trailer park dwelling white xtian conservatives sucking social services in Conservative states that far outnumber the Democrat voting illegal Mexican.
