I know this board generally hates on other cities that aren't Calgary, but I don't subscribe to that line of thinking in the slightest. Toronto is a terrific city, and I always enjoy my time there. The food scene is amazing, whether you want to admit it or not.
Now, the Maple Leafs... they can go to hell.

The guys who don't re-sign before the deadline will be gone. There's still some runway left. But it does sound like Lindholm isn't anywhere near re-signing so he's as of today a lock to be traded regardless.

No sh*t Edwards makes the final decision. If Edwards tells Conroy to keep all pending UFAs cause he smells playoff revenue, you can bet Conroy will listen.

I'll be so ####ing pissed if they pass this chance of turning three key UFAs into futures, just because they think they are not "out of it".
We are 16th in goals for and 16th in goals against ... we are not "in it", we are forever mired in mediocrity. Sell.

We need a strong president to help Edwards make the right choice. Bean is a sycophant. Ken King had to do some of the heavy lifting to convince that trading Iggy was the right course for the franchise, and I get the sense that there is a similar hold up now.
We need someone that has built respect with him to lay out the case that most of us here see plainly.

Exactly. I can't see management / ownership missing the trade deadline just because they are on the cusp and then missing and watching everyone walk to free agency.

That isn't going to happen, I know 100% for a fact that management has permission to make any moves they see fit without an ok from Murray Edwards. Don't worry about Edwards putting the kybosh on anything.

This can't be true as it doesn't align with the fabricated Murray Edwards super villain narrative we have on here. You can't just come in here and say things like that, it shakes the foundation of our perceived reality and stuff.
