What is pretty interesting is that their self proclaimed worlds best player continues to get a pass. Media is calling out officials obviously, but also pretty much everyone on roster except McDavid
I think there needs to be at most a 180 second clock on reviews. This 5 to 10 minute review is ludicrous. If you can't find a reason to overturn in 3 minutes you're trying to create one.

Fans from places that Oilers fans don't bother with. I can't even watch a Flames post-game show on YouTube without them showing up in the chat and mouthing off. They have nothing better to do.
100%. I can check the smallest, most random Flames blog or even just Flames fan twitter account, and if there's even the slightest anti-Oilers content in a tweet, there's minimum 3 Greaser fans in the replies going off. They're beyond obsessed, it's like a cult.

Its not 'like' a cult....it is a cult.
There is a reason people coined the term decades ago that Oilers fans are always 'drinking the kool-aid.'
You know who drinks the kool-aid? Cult members. The true believers.

I didn't even know they looked at high stick pucks before a goal until now. There needs to be some kind of statute of limitation. Unless the high stick assisted on the goal I don't care if it was missed. Same with offside. Unless the goal was scored off the rush it shouldn't matter. As others have mentioned the reviews are more like a random get out of jail free card than something making the game fairer.
Kings in 5. Let's go!
It’s not that they generally look at high sticked pucks
They look at all OT goals, and will include evaluating a potential missed play stoppage in the offensive zone
The Oiler cultists have many patrollers manning the forums and comment sections of the web trying to control the narrative about them. Even on their rival's board. Which is bonkers and also pathetic. As much as loathe them I think I've visited HF for a solid read through 4-5 times all season.
I think that's one reason why I give them so much grief when they do dumb things or lose big games (aside from it being massively satisfying). I know there is an audience of lurkers reading with clenched fists seeing these playoffs not going exactly as they planned and people pointing out weaknesses in their 'team of destiny' as well as the embellishing and child-like behaviour of the players and coach.
Kings will have to play contact free hockey to avoid penalties.
Or the refs just cease to give a #### about adhering to the Oilers demands/appeasing them because it's tiresome and allow the Kings to keep playing their big boy hockey as they have because this is the NHL and not little league where crying grants you sympathy.
I was invited by one of my Kings fan friends to Game 3, who knows that I am a Flames fan and thus would hate the Oilers. I thought about wearing my Calgary jersey but ended up wearing a nondescript outfit. Saw people with Nashville, Minnesota, Las Vegas, and Washington jerseys there, which was kind of odd.
A couple things I noticed that are harder for me to notice on TV, Oilers put 4 players on the strong side of the ice for the PP. Then isolate McDavid on the other side. They scored twice using that tactic, and then the Kings changed their PK strategy in the 3rd. Danault got his stick in the lane preventing the cross ice passes twice. Awesome.
Then, when the Kings dumped it in and changed at 5v5, they set up a 1-3-1 in the neutral zone and sent nobody in forechecking. It confused the Oilers so much. Kings fans were booing when the Oiler player was just standing around, but I said they ought to be cheering because it's hilarious.
I was in that corner where the 'controversial' play was. I didn't know what they were looking at because they didn't put a replay on in there. I thought it might have been goaltender interference. The people in front of us actually left because they must have thought it was over. It was almost like we got to watch the Oilers lose twice when they said it was a goal. Stayed for the three stars, then we listened to CHED all the way home and got a kick out of that. And their mobile home commercials.
Saw someone in a Klim Kostin jersey in the parking elevator on the way out, and heard them speaking Russian. Turned out to be Kostin's sister, who was very polite. Nothing like hearing "Oilers Suck" chants around the arena when everyone was getting out!

I really had to coax GPT into this, it didnt want to be mean.
There's a team from Edmonton up north
Whose hockey losses are of great worth
To Flames fans with glee
It's something to see
The Oilers' defeats, their favorite mirth.
