Betting odds now have Biden favoured to take PA.

No coming back for the moron.

The years long efforts in Arizona by activists there to flip the state may have made the difference last night - because the Fox News call of Arizona as early as it did (which apparently pissed the white house off) really blunted the narrative they wanted to thunder into the night with.

There are a lot of conflicted people in the states. Now some are dumb. Some are deplorable. But many are conflicted.

They’ve spent years in a party that has aligned their church.personal values with their politics on the Republican side. It’s always been a easy vote for those people. That has changed the last 8 years where they are seeing the party separate from some of those personal values but they don’t feel they have anywhere to go so hold their noses and vote Republican still. I don’t think they are necessarily dumb but are just lost.

The prominence of the Tea Party forced a system that was set up to come together and govern from the middle into an all out left-right divide where either you control everything and get something done or get absolutely nothing done.

The only way to fix it is with a viable centrist party but that just will never happen in the US unless you have big name center-left and center-right politicians come together in an truly official way.

It's clearly different models they're using to estimate the total number of votes.

AZ? It's clearly different models they're using to estimate the total number of votes which is why some are using a range.

NBC shows 99% in for AZ. And they seem to be the slowest to call anything.

Fox news calling Arizona early may well have stopped a full blown coup narrative. Who wouldda thunk?

Deep state strikes again.

Plenty of sources have it in the 80-90% range. Some explicitly state that they are accounting for the expected historic turnout. It's an estimate.

Regardless, remember that the Associated Press has also called Arizona for Biden, so it's not just Fox News out there on a limb by itself.

Also, very nice to wake up to Michigan and Wisconsin flipping. Here's hoping the news is all good from this point forward.

AZ's official website reports it as 99% of precincts reporting - distinctly difference from "99% of the estimated vote" and presumably does not properly account for the balance of ballots being mail.

How amazing would it be if Fox News was the first of the networks to declare Biden President!!

You can know how many votes are cast before you know who they were cast for. However, that still has to get tabulated and would include spoiled/disqualified ballots.

Really a shame that statehood for DC and PR is off the table now with Republicans controlling the senate.
