If you were replying to me, I in fact stated that I don't believe it's sincere. But I think why is still a very valid question.

It was extremely complicated and detailed, someone put enormous effort into writing that. Why would someone be motivated to do it for seemingly no benefit? It's not like they even got reddit karma for it. I suppose there may be an allure to infamy but it's pretty fickle imo.
There are also well researched ties to other "disclosures". The stuff about Batelle has been brought up by several disclosure incidents and their patent holdings are actually wild AF. Wright-Hollick AFB is also where 5 eyes met after the Grusch disclosure, and Battelle is on campus. The AFB has previously been linked to UAP sightings, and former rumors that craft were held there. The odor and description of odor systems.
There was also very confusing and strange knowledge about genetics. I don't possess this knowledge myself but upon reading some comments from people extremely surprised to read it in the thread, I tried to do some research. IMO the person who wrote this is almost definitely someone with advanced knowledge on genetics.
I think it's a psyop. Someone is trying to divert and distract.

The idea it’s consistent with other disclosures is not surprising in either the real or fake scenario. All it shows is someone who is knowledgeable about current NHI information.
I think the why is relatively simple. You have a molecular biologist who is interested in NHI whose hobby is a writer. Essentially it’s hard science fiction writing. So is it just a test balloon for a book or TV show. The amount of effort to create this for someone with the scientific back ground and interest in aliens isn’t that high

I would agree with this.
I’ve got a BSc in microbiology from over 25 years ago.
I’ve never used that knowledge a day since, yet I could easily understand everything written there.
It definitely wouldn’t require advanced knowledge (from a scientific standpoint) to write. Only advanced interest.

The story reads very similar to what some of my ChatGPT prompts produce.
I don't think it would take all that much effort to generate something like that. It would even be able to answer questions still 'in character'.

And the channel dedicated to arguing why its real (800+ subscribers and growing!)

I enjoyed that video. I thought it was pretty balanced and made case for believers, but also added enough skepticism. It sure got my imagination going, although the Hollywood special effect person seemed pretty convinced it was fake. It seems more fake than real, but the scenario is interesting.

More of a general observation, and while "why would this person lie?" is a valid question, it isn't a question that has any value in determining whether a person is relating an unlikely truth. Creating a believable lie is asserting power over those who believe that lie, it aims to control a bit (or a lot, depending)of their thought. Human like to assert power, and thus like to lie.
I suppose I just like to caution against the idea that "where's there is smoke, there's fire!". Sometimes it isn't fire, it's just various asshats setting off smoke bombs.

This will still lead to nothing. Compartmentalized programs lack transparency to get to the records to declassify.

Without the 5th estate challenging people in powerful places we stand no chance at having any level of transparency in what goes on. The media continues to a huge disservice to us because they care more about access and their own profile over what their responsibility to the public is supposed to be.

I agree about the article, but I am glad that it is finally getting some attention.
What do you think about the upcoming hearing? Think anything substantial will come out of it?

I can’t see the hearing leading to very much. The 3 witnesses will be Ryan Graves, David Fravor and David Grusch. All three have spoken in the media already so I doubt we will really learn anything new. Although they did say on todays press conference that “maybe” there will be some new video and photos. However, at least this is getting more public attention. I’ll definitely watch with interest.

I think the tangible proof is not going to come out. It will all be heresy and one man's word. It won't convince some unless some documentation is released. It won't convince others unless ET walks into the hearing and finger bangs the committee chair. Not expecting much.

Did anyone watch the hearing? Pretty incredible to watch Grusch testifying on oath about some of this and also Gaetz let some info out there about a classified Elgin AF base encounter and that he saw some clear pictures and radar records of UAP in formation.
