That's what the Jays need - get back to hitting homers so they don't have to worry about that damn base running. It's too hard for them.

Anderson looks like a young Judge Reinholt from fast Times At Ridgement High

Definitely nice to have an ace on the staff. Just a solid pitcher.

Massive Double play there. Now the Marlins have 8,9,1 to start the bottom 9.

Hard earned W there.
Ryu doing Ryu things. And the bullpen is off the charts. On the rare occasion that they do give up a run, I am shocked. But most nights, it's 3, 4, 5 innings of shut out baseball. Night after night.
Glad the game didn't bite Villar in the ass. Maybe some new-team jitters hopefully he puts it behind him and gets it going from here.

Pitching absolutely stole this game. That was some bad baseball otherwise.
They gotta clean this up

At least the Yanks are losing

Tigers and Yankees lose, so the Jays are 1 game back of NYY and 1.5 games up on DET.

And they're not just one back of the Yankees, they are now only one game back of NYY, HOU and MIN. They are just one game out of 5th.
