Thanks to Street Pharmacist for finding it on the twitter.
That's major league embellishment there. Was he working out with Burrows in the offseason?

Gretzky was targeted every game. He retired due to back troubles but those health issues were caused by taking a ton of physical punishment.

He managed to do what he did while taking that abuse and remaining the best in the game year in and year out.

The fact he managed to stay healthy while being the premier player in the world for so many years, says to me he is the best of all time.
Richard and Howe managed to be just as dominant and take just as much abuse while getting paid little more than an average wage and having none of the advantages of modern medical care or assistants and other flunkies to look after their day to day needs.
When they bought a couch they schlepped it home themselves in a buddy's borrowed truck the way we have to, then went and played that night.

He's a sleeper agent. His job is to make it legally impossible to fire Kevin Lowe and Craig McTavish.

Ah....good ol' "Basement Bowl!"

That being said it burns me that we dropped points to these losers.

If only the Flames were ready to go in game one of the season the teams would be reversed in the standings as handing them those 4 points is the only reason they aren't a below .500 team.

Coyotes are 21-0-4 against the Oilers in the last 25 games between the two teams, as per Sportsnet.

28 years since an NHL team has had that long a winless streak against another team.

Wouldn't the Oilers have won 4 games since the coyotes have 4 OTLs?

I wasn't very clear.

Regulation winless streak was what I wanted to say.

You must have been watching a different Gretzky than the one I remember. The one I remember whined after every whistle, dived (and then whined some more), had the rules changed so that no one could touch him, and his mere presence on a team required an extra roster spot be taken for some skill-less meathead to protect him.

The best part is seeing how dejected the new guys look. Their shoulders are slumped and their heads are down and the longer term Oilers just brush it off.

Just another day in the life of the Oilers.

More like 4-6 meatheads. Bob Johnson said that a team needed to match the Oilers "toughness" (meaning goons) before they could beat them.

When he got traded to LA he took his goon with him. What happened to Whiner is he got old and his skills fell of a cliff.
