I'm aware of City's record. My point is that you appear to be ignoring that we constantly crap the bed also.

As for today's defeat, my point was that is was not just one of those days (as in the game could have gone either way). It was a just one of those days where they create nothing outside of individuality and the best they were looking at was a draw.

United have Villa at home next. I wouldn't bet on it. If you're so keen to factor in past performances then I would bet on it being 0-0 at halftime though.

and I disagree with nothing of that. Saying that Martial could have put us ahead shortly before Allis goal doesn't mean I ignore anything, but like always, you just take a sentence out of context to pick a fight. Tiresome.

It does when your take on the game is "just one of those days".

Well, my bad for hurting your feelings by disagreeing with you but maybe then you can elaborate on how I took "just one of those days" out of context?

Because I'm interpreting it as they played quite well, just didn't get the bounces.

any talk of LVG staying should have been ended today, I haven't seen a team of actual talented players look so lifeless offensively since the last days of AVBs Spurs or Mourinho's Chelsea

any talk of LVG staying should have been ended months ago. Things were so bad in December that every reputable club would have fired him after Christmas, yet with a spineless idiot in charge, nothing ever happened.

Nanis description of training under van Gaal is telling too.

Quote:
When Van Gaal declared: “We don’t have wingers of the highest level ... I think we need to buy,” Nani knew he wasn’t wanted.

“He didn’t use me a lot in pre-season,” recalls Nani. “I was the player who had the least time in all the games and I was feeling, ‘This coach doesn’t count on me’. He and his assistant were shouting at players like we were kids, like 18-year-olds. And I think, ‘This is not the way to treat us because I am professional, I am training every day, I’m doing nothing wrong, I’m putting quality in the training’.”

Albert Stuivenberg was Van Gaal's weapon of choice. The assistant coach berated players for passing at the wrong time, for passing in the wrong way, for not passing at all, for not taking a touch before shooting. It was the antithesis of how an intuitively dangerous forward like Nani had learned to play; a contradiction of the way in which Sir Alex Ferguson had encouraged him to hone an ability to beat opponents with skill or pace then place the ball in the precise position for a colleague to score.

Nani knows how to make the hardest of attacking decisions quickly. The Dutch pair sought to drill that out of him. “‘You must pass the ball like this’, ‘Come on!’ Blah, blah, blah.

“It’s crazy. It’s difficult to play football like that. Because football is instinct. It’s decision. It’s what you see. If you see you must shoot, first touch. If you see you must take a touch, you take a touch. If you dribble, you dribble. That’s why you make different type of goals.”

PFA Player of the Year finalists:

Kante
Mahrez
Vardy
Kane
Payet
Ozil

I would think it's between Mahrez and Kante, and you pretty much can't go wrong picking either.

France may surprise at this years Euro tournament - lots of players on a decent run of form for them.

Ya know, I'd love to see an England vs France quarter/semi. Biased sure, to have England make it to that stage, but think the single elimination would bring out a spectacle.

I'm just hoping nothing bad happens at the Euro this year. Security is going to be insane, but things are pretty bad

brilliant goal by Marcus Rashford. Give him credit ... I thought he'd fade away after the first couple of games (which would have been expected from a 18-year-old with very little experience), but he keeps producing.

Fellaini scored though, so he's now undropable.

It's how he reacts to the first hit to his confidence and overcoming bad patches.

Leicester's bubble may have burst. But that penalty call against was brutal, Reid's dive was as bad as Vardy's
