Makes you wonder how these people keep getting these jobs and continue to cycle through super high paying and powerful positions. It's obviously not talent or reputation for excellent results as shown. Must be because they know where the skeletons are hidden and have no scruples.

While expected this is a loss for sure. This province needs capable opposition, the NDP have made great strides much of it due to notley. They will have to make a nearly perfect choice here to continue the momentum, won’t take much to set them back here.

I'd have to think that Ganley is the frontrunner to be Notley's successor. She has a good reputation, has held her per seat for multiple terms, and she's based in Calgary where the most swing votes are.

Although, whatever happens with that leadership race, hopefully Notley takes a proper step back and doesn't try to govern the party from the shadows like Elizabeth May did for the federal greens.

Step 1: Change the NDP name
Step 2: Orange bonfire
Step 3: Unite the Left
Step 4: Try to survive the next 3.5 years without any healthcare because Boobbus is going to go nuts!
Step 5: Barely win the next election by 1 seat because we still have too many deplorables in Calgary

I wish it was that easy to just change the name and win but we have seen with the last election there are far too many morons that are gleefully willing to vote against their own self interests because it is easier to support the supposed Conservative party than have an ounce of common sense thinking.

That is what is most frustrating it isn't like the UCP is sneaky about what they do and you need a time consuming in depth knowledge of politics to see it, they put it all right out there in the open and still morons, as mentioned above many of them on this site, still support them despite being completely unable to give reasons why other than they aren't the boogeyman party on the left.

plus all the business interests that don't give a crap about Alberta, but do care about the best way to extract the most profits they can in the shortest amount of time. The UCP is a huge win for them, too.

Which is why I think so many in Calgary voted UCP. Many Calgarians know exactly what the UCP is but don't care because they're making money from it. They love a corrupt, greedy, self serving morally bankrupt, ethically challenged, ignorant (and often idiotic) government.

During this first phase of engagement, it quickly became clear that Albertans wanted more precise information on the value of the asset transfer Alberta would be entitled to receive if it were to withdraw from the Canada Pension Plan. While the LifeWorks report was able to provide a reasonable asset transfer value by relying on publicly available data, determining a more precise number requires analysis from the federal government.

Who the hell is even asking for this APP. Thats the part that pisses me off. I don’t know one person who thinks this is the pressing issue for Alberta. Who is walking around in their daily life saying to themselves - the CPP needs to be fixed because of xyz and we need to do it now. Nobody. Absolutely nobody is.

Meanwhile there are 30 kids in my son’s kindy class and a 5 hr wait at the foothills and an AHS re org that is going to drive ppl away from our medical system.

This government is making your daily life worse and they will continue to do this.

#ThanksDanielle

If the APP gets pushed through, I wonder what happens to the 24 years of contributions I paid into CPP as an Albertan...

I, sadly, live in Manitoba now. Oh well, I'm sure everything's been thought out :|

Well it was her #1 talking point/ promise during the election a few months ago, wasn't it? No?

You'll be happy to know some relief is coming. Your local certified naturopath doctor (and I stress doctor) will be able to see you for daily doses of marshmallow root and urine extract to cure that ongoing rhomboid pain. I wouldn't worry about seeing a GP, they're just going to waste your time with big pharma solutions that don't address the real problem.
