See, there’s your problem. It’s insanity that I recommend. Serenity is fricken boring.

Looks like the forum only archived the Fire On Ice subforum and doesn't have anything from 2013 to Today. Gonna be hard to post receipts but consider a few examples:
- The way Scorp was treated when he first joined was a pretty notable example at the time of how new members were scared away from this forum.
- The witch hunts of banned members that returned got completely out of control for a while and people derailed many, many threads. There was tons of sniping at people when there was disagreements and usually it devolved into "are you <person> back again?" This sometime overlapped with the "boys will be boys" attitude in posting styles back then but I don't blame that as much.
- The federal politics thread during the Harper era didn't look too different than how it does today. Lots of rage posting and back and forth attacks between the sides.
Perhaps what some are remembering is when they were part of the "in-group" at the time and weren't getting questioned on what was said as much? Things change and maybe they're on the other side of that coin now.

Well, after a month of you commenting on my character in multiple threads because you were furious I made a joke about BMW drivers being #######s, I PMed you to tell you to ignore me because it seemed like less effort, and you proceeded to tell me not to “poke the bear” and that I “cower the consequences” write entire paragraphs about how deeply unhappy I was as a person and how bad of a hand I was dealt in life, and how deeply troubled I was and how you’ve dealt with troubled posters before I… what… was supposed to be a “good dude” to you? lol. Of course I “poked the bear.”
Another bully down. Anyone else?

I've had run ins with Pepsi but he never PM'ed me. Now I feel left out.
If you can say with a straight face (not that I'd know) that your posting style is purely "abrasive", I'd be surprised. You insulted someone in FOI the other day, calling them an "incel", for no reason. Why do that? You can have a shtick on here - you're probably a charismatic guy in real life, why constantly provoke people and pick fights at every turn?
You're a good poster when you're not doing that, so maybe with some introspection you could see it's not really worth it.

Well it is the "Grind My Gears" thread and you should talk given the sheer amount of discussions you and Dissentowner have sidetracked with your feud. That said I don't like to pile on a person and that's happening here and I am a part of it so I will let it go. I love you all and don't wish anything bad to anyone here (including Pepsi) including those that we don't agree on a lot of things. I just hope the guy would come to the realization that a lot of posters don't appreciate his schtick and there are better ways to contribute than poking and prodding other posters even if he thinks it's in jest.

The pile on has been coming. He's been a dick for years and I'm glad it is being aired. If the stuff about Cliff telling him to kill himself and mocking his mental health is true, that is way over the line and should not have been said.

Actually, I compared reading people argue Kylington owed the Flames because were good to him through his mental health struggles and then trash him when he still didn’t sign with them to reading 4chan incels argue that girls owe them dates just because they’re nice to them.
Which was a very good comparison. Let’s not pretend I just randomly called one specific guy “incel” out of nowhere. Where’s the art in that?

You gotta come here more often. It gets aired like once a week.

I've gotta quit my job. So many more hours to be spent reading this board. But soon there may just be some hockey chat happening. Luckily we're not gonna make the playoffs for half a decade so the mood should be suitably miserable.

But those are mostly just complaining about reffing... wait. Are you an NHL ref? Because if so this is a whole different conversation and we actually do need to pile on more.
Anyway, I dunno, it seems like you treat this place like it's the park in Westworld and the other members are the hosts - i.e., not real people so who gives a #### what you say or do here for entertainment. Which I'm pretty sure that one of the main messages of that show is that that sort of behaviour isn't super healthy... But then I stopped watching after Season 2 so I dunno, maybe everything turns out okay in the end.

I’m 100% confident I haven’t killed or raped anyone here or anyone else anywhere (for my own entertainment or just like… in general, at all) so maybe let’s find a better comparison.
Then again maybe it is the closest comparable, and I have used that defence this week, and we all know the worst thing is always the hypocrisy.

I have a feud with dissentowner now? Revisionist history is going hogwild here lately. Some of you guys should just focus on trying to keep track of your own reality than being wrong repeatedly about others.
