Much nicer than the -8. Too bad AC ordered the -8. I guess WestJet will need to get the -9 then.

No A-10? That was always my favorite part. The VIP spot is awesome to see the Skyhawks come down. I was 15' feet away from them last time. Pretty cool.

So apparently the source of the fire on the 87 at Heathrow was the ELT?? Oh boy... That's certainly an item you don't want spontaneously overheating..

No american demo's anywhere this year. Budget cuts have grounded the Angel's, thunderbirds, and all the demo's and flypasts. It's a tough year for airshows everywhere.

Rocky Mountain House Airshow is July 24th (Wednesday). Easy drive from Calgary and will be a great twilight show. YRM is a hub for our aerobatic club and 3 of of our member's will be performing along with the Snowbirds and F-18 TAC Team.

Yep.
That sked looks like it came from the airshow website, I didn't bother to look at it closely.

Thunderbirds are at least in the air again.

All setup in some grass about a half mile east of the field to film the CF18 demo. RCMP gives us the boot, we can't stay there in case the plane crashes. WTF? Surely the tens of thousands of people that are actually at the field are in far more danger. I was scouting that spot for weeks.

Didn't see this mentioned in the thread, but a few days ago (Thursday) a 787 had to return to boston on it's way to tokyo as there was a fuel pump concern - maintenance indicator came up
