Or maybe not? Just as probable, we have to maybe realize that there are some limits that can't be overcome. Faster than light travel could be one of them. One would think that is crucial to them getting here.

FLT is currently permitted by the current understanding of the universe. You just can’t travel through space faster than light.

Why do you suggest that there is a paradigm shift coming?

Remember that all existing workings of the universe still need to work.

Faster than light is permitted by theory and math where you can fudge the numbers, not by anything remotely practical, even by advanced race/tech standards. People have to realize and get over this

I'm the furthest thing from a physicist, and have no original thought on the matter of my own. I've taken to reading extensively about it as somewhat of a hobby the past few years, watching as many videos/podcasts as I can and I get the indication and feeling that we are headed to a fundamental shift, within the next 5-10 years.

I think we are far further away from anything revolutionary.

JWST seems to be confirming what we know about the universe despite early thoughts that data didn’t fit the model.

https://www.space.com/james-webb-spa...bang-explained

The problem I think is that the power / technology requirements to learn about smaller or faster, further or earlier.

Though the neutrino detector in Sudbury might have interesting info earlier on in the universe.

I think this understates the theoretical advancements in warp theory.

In the 90s it was found it would take more mass than exists in the universe. Then that was lowered to the mass of roughly the sun and now more recently have removed the requirement for negative energy which means you could create the FLT bubbles with particles that are known to exist.

https://iopscience.iop.org/article/1...61-6382/abe692

For a field that is 30 years old progress is being made in improving theory and it hasn’t reached a dead end.

That theory and math has been spawned by science fiction since the 60's, like politicians, if you say it enough some people will believe it, fact is something made of matter will never even get close to light speed without being torn apart, the fastest known object ever observed is a star orbiting a black hole traveling at 8,000 kilometres per second or 28,800,000 km/h.

That's very fast indeed but...

It's still only 0.26% the speed of light

False or not, that was a fun read.

Apparently the OP had his/her account deleted soon after posting. Mods don’t really know what happened. Fun stuff.

I agree to an extent. There is some really strange stuff in this account that doesn't seem consistent with being involved in special access programs where TS/SCI clearances are involved, and this would certainly be one of those. A lot of what the individual relates to their involvement as a biologist seems to check out. The details about handling, examining, and testing tissues seems consistent with someone working in such lab environments. The disclosures on genetics seem consistent with our understanding of the subject. Those aspects seem to make the story credible to those with experience and understanding of the topic of genetics.

The description of how they got involved and the process is also consistent with recruitment efforts, although the backgrounding aspect is left out of the account. There is no way that anyone works on one of these programs without first getting vetted out the wazoo (SF-86 questionnaire, full background investigation with multiple interviews, investigation of family and friends, polygraph, behavioral monitoring, and consistent reinvestigation) so it seems strange to leave that out based on the recruitment details. Their introduction to the project and being read into program is also consistent with the process. Everything was good up to the point of the inclusion of details about culture and religion. That's when the warning flags really went up.

Why would an exobiologist be given reports/details on the culture/beliefs of the subject of study? An exobiologist wouldn't care. This is beyond what they need to know or would care to know. You throw a sociology report at someone who is not a involved in cultural examination and it normally gets brushed aside quickly. The immediate response here was no need for such information so they would not be provided such data. The only reason for this information is the addition of misinformation to identify potential leakers.

When being read into a secure access program you are given reports/research to bring you up to speed to complete your duties. There is normally a lot of information you have to get familiar with and you sit and read through the materials required. I have been told that during this process unique misinformation will be added to every packet so if information does get out the exposure of the misinformation will pinpoint who leaked. The addition of such unrelated cultural/religious information could be the misinformation meant to pinpoint a possible leaker. To me, that would be the only explanation for inclusion, and the person disclosing such details may have unwittingly exposed themselves and cooked their own goose.

I normally take everything on reddit as total bull#### so I'm inclined to think the same here. Some really interesting details that seem to pass muster but why would anyone take to a little know reddit subreddit to disclose such information? There are other and better avenues to disclose such information and provide protections from possible retribution. Going to reddit is the just not the smart way of doing this. Would be awesome if true, but I'm highly skeptical.

This is my favorite whistle-blower, a TV special from the 90s. Guy says he smuggled out a video of an alien, from a TV documentary production standpoint, it's very nostalgic of that time period.

And the channel dedicated to arguing why its real (800+ subscribers and growing!)

I agree that it must be fake, but WHY. My primary reason for believing that it's fake is exactly as Lanny said; there's no reason for a biologist to know or read anything about the religion or culture of an alien species, and would certainly not be given access to it in a compartmentalized program.

It was extremely complicated and detailed, someone put enormous effort into writing that. Why would someone be motivated to do it for seemingly no benefit? It's not like they even got reddit karma for it. I suppose there may be an allure to infamy but it's pretty fickle imo.

There are also well researched ties to other "disclosures". The stuff about Batelle has been brought up by several disclosure incidents and their patent holdings are actually wild AF. Wright-Hollick AFB is also where 5 eyes met after the Grusch disclosure, and Battelle is on campus. The AFB has previously been linked to UAP sightings, and former rumors that craft were held there. The odor and description of odor systems.

There was also very confusing and strange knowledge about genetics. I don't possess this knowledge myself but upon reading some comments from people extremely surprised to read it in the thread, I tried to do some research. IMO the person who wrote this is almost definitely someone with advanced knowledge on genetics.

I think it's a psyop. Someone is trying to divert and distract.

People do inexplicable things. Some people believe the Earth is flat and will spend considerable amounts of their time trying to prove it. Assuming that someone must be sincere because they have no logical motive for lying is a very poor method of evaluating truth.
