Yikes, NFL isnt going to be impressed with ESPN crew tonight. Ive heard color commentators criticize refs plenty, but Mcdonough is really giving it to them tonight.

Rightfully so.

Atrocious....it seems like they really are trying to be the stars of the show.

He’s not wrong. It’s one of the things that’s an ongoing problem for the No Fun League. Can’t handle fair criticism of their stultifying officiating. They are the North Korea of pro leagues in that respect.

I hate seeing guys injured (especially what happened in the first quarter) but its hard to have a lot of sympathy for Burfict given his history.

Talib would fit in well with the Bengals.

The hit on Brown is as bad as the one JuJu committed, even if Brown is okay. Thats the refs fault for not tossing JuJu IMO.

That hit on Brown on the game tying TD was so ridiculously dirty. I can't believe there haven't been any ejections yet or large blow outs...Wasn't Brown concussed in the game last year against the Bengals?

Me being me and wanting to be aggressive as can be, I would have gone onside there after the 15 yard penalty. With the wet ball it's worth a shot, worst case they get it around their 40 so only around 15 yards difference from a touchback.

Now they need 3 first downs to win the game. Probably why you haven't won a superbowl.

Not exactly easy conditions, they need to be inside the 20 for a gimme. Besides it's the Bengals in primetime, they could have it at the half yard line going in and would lose.

I'm honestly just happy that Ryan Shaziers injury is not as bad as feared. He clearly couldn't feel his legs at first.

The league is going to have to start coming down harder on these cheap shots. It's pretty clear a fine or one game suspension isn't enough of a deterrent. It's probably going to take 4 game suspensions (which get reduced to 2 after appeal) as the norm. I don't feel bad for Burfict but you can't have players carted off the field from cheap shot blocks as it's just a matter of time until someone gets paralyzed and the NFL will have to answer for that after seeing all the poor behavior of players over the past few weeks go barely punished.

Even at 17-3 I texted my Steelers fan buddy and told him "yeah I'm convinced you're winning this game", I've seen enough Steelers/Bengals games to know Cincy always loses them in heartbreaking fashion. Hilarious it actually happened again. It's franchises like Cincy where if you're a diehard fan, I could see you eventually not even liking sports anymore as the constant heartbreak just isn't worth it.

Such an ugly rivalry too. I know my buddy hates the Ravens more than anyone, but as he said last night, "at least Steelers/Ravens respect each other". Clearly not the case with Pitt/Cincy, people straight head hunting out there when they play each other. It's bad for the game

Juju Smith-Schuster and George Iloka both suspended for a game.

I'm okay with this. Should ideally be more for both, but it's fair when you look at Gronk and Crabtree/Talib.

haha, so Iloka has his suspension rescinded and Juju stays suspended.

This league is unbelievable.

I guess Jerry's power play didn't work.
