It was alright before they added 9 more holes, then the layout was screwed.
Playing with some members at Serenity, think Serenity was built with the intention of shutting down Heatherglen and selling the land in the near future. But that was just a rumour.

IIRC it's because the course is on a ROW and would be lost when the city expanded to take the land, but either way it was definitely built with the idea they will lose Heather Glen.

Yep, first round. I play 40-50 times a year but very heavily in July/August. I’m a teacher and find it tough to get out before July, but then I play every day.

Played in a club tournament this morning and my playing partner came within 3 inches of getting a hole in one on hole #8 at Nanton.
We were all yelling "Go in! Go in!" as the ball rolled towards the hole.
Meanwhile my playing partner was yelling "Don't go in! Don't go in!"
We turned and looked at him asking wtf was going on with him?
"Have you seen the numbers for players playing this AM? Just imagine my bar tab when all is said and done!"
We just laughed and egged him on further

My vote for worst design goes to Fox Hollow hands down! I haven’t played it in eons but what was the original front 9 is a sliced golf ball in the noggin almost every hole.

We seem to be one of the few courses that doesn't have it. Would have come in handy last year when I got mine. Bar tabs can be very expensive when members are thirsty

All the members would have expected free drinks? I would have told them to eff off. Only the players in the foursome should get the free drinks imo.

It's a long standing tradition where one is expected to buy drinks. I knew all the guys in mens night so it helped to ease the financial pain.

Greens are perfect. Pace was meh. Caught up to some groups ball hunting on the back nine.
