You know Toronto doesn't get the credit of being a great sports city. You look at last year with the Jays. This city is so passionate for our teams but have suffered for so long. Finally things are turning around and our crowds are the loudest in any league.
City turned out in droves for the PanAms too. It was amazing thing to be a part of.
"Ten years into this league, and I've never been this far before," Lowry told The Vertical. For a moment, he was thinking about benchings and trades and moments where he couldn't even get onto the court in the NBA. He thought about it all on Monday night and considered now a career within two victories of an epic upset, of the NBA Finals.
"The criticism, it comes with the stage we're on," Lowry finally said. "I'll never complain about what comes with all of this. Here I am, man. I must be doing something right.
I didn't bother posting a reaction because I was on cloud 9 after last nights win, it would have been a lovefest post. I just can't get over how proud I am of the way this team has fought. I have never been much of a Casey fan personally but I will give him all the credit in the world for how hard he has that team fighting and how much he has done to change the culture in the lockerroom this year to one of "never say die". How many timeouts in 4th quarters have we had during the playoffs where the Raps have blown a lead and are on the ropes with the other team on a run and they always seem to come out cool, calm and collected and return to executing their gameplan. This just just refuses to giveup.
I found an interesting stat on twitter this morning that I feel tells much of the story:
Brian WindhorstVerified account
@WindhorstESPN
Cavs average shot distance in series:
Game 1 -- 11.1 (feet)
Game 2 -- 11.7
Game 3 -- 16.2
Game 4 -- 18.7
The difference between keeping the Cavs out of the paint is likely going to play out to be the difference in this series. If JV comes back and can contribute offensively, that is a HUGE swing in the Raptors favour in terms of offense in the paint.
I'm so, so happy these guys are where they are and that Demar/Kyle are playing so well. They deserve it.

Okay I've been watching this last one on a loop for a while and it might be the greatest thing ever actually.
1) Casey grabs the ref and scares the crap out of him
2) Before Casey grabs the ref it looks like Jefferson is trying to warn him, like there is a serial killer on the court "Run!!!!"
3) The best are the fans though. The guy in the blue shirt just jumping up and down with his hands in the air.
4) The best of the best....if you look to the left of the guy in the blue shirt some fan is holding up a person and shaking them/bear-hugging them.
Gotta say, Casey has really grown on me these playoffs. Like, a lot. He's almost unrecognizeable from the guy who spent the last three years or so just always going with the safest, most predictable options.

Can someone tell me what Casey was trying to do in that last vine?

5) The Bruce Lee stance when Casey grabs him then tries to play it off by pointing towards the bench telling him to go back.
Thunder up 14 points within the first six minutes. The Warriors obviously have the firepower (i.e. Curry) to overcome that, but you gotta wonder if the Thunder are just going to be as fired up as any team in history after Draymond went nut hunting. Since that play they've totally dominated.

+/- is a harder stat to judge in the NBA, but in the last 6 quarters Draymond is -71. Warriors falling apart at the wrong time against a scorching team.

Just not happening for the Warriors right now but full credit there to the Thunder. They have too much athleticism for the Warriors, as they did the Spurs.

I think the Spurs handled them fine. It was an extremely close series, and frankly some awful calls at the end of games 2 and 5 just tilted the series.
You could argue that a veteran team like the Spurs should be able to overcome such adversity, but when you're playing the other top teams in the league and are so evenly matched, things like that do make a difference.
This just looks like a dismantling though. I think Curry is far from 100%, and the entire GSW offence runs through him. They look disjointed and just tossing up off-balance and off-rhythm 3 pointers thinking that they'd hit. But if they review the tape, the 3 pointers they were taking in the regular season were generally wide open or catch-and-shoot situations.
