Most likely deal is Lindholm for Sillinger and Bean.
Bean gives them the ability to move Hanifin, Tanev, or Zadorov

That’s so underwhelming. I’d ask for the 2024 1st unprotected too if that was the offer. I don’t get the obsession with Sillinger. Seems like a lesser Dube.

Gross, if they want Lindholm, make them work for it.

Think the only reason it was even rumoured was because Aaron Portzline said it and he seems to be a trusted CBJ beat writer.
Prior to that I don't think anybody had mentioned it.

Lindholm for sillinger and bean is hilarious.
Didn't bean do something negative while with Carolina? I thought that's why they shuffled him out quietly. No interest at all in that player. Sillinger is fine imo but not the only big piece coming back for lindy.
We lost the opportunity with Columbus.

How did we lose an opportunity? Do you have inside knowledge about anything?

While Calgary may not have any opportunity with Columbus, they didn't lose it. It may never have been there.

I think the Columbus ship has sailed as well. I think the highest pick the flames might be able to pull out of this draft with Lindholm is the 17th overall pick from Detroit. They could definitely use a player like Lindholm if they want to push to take a step this year and become a playoff team.
I proposed this one previously:
To Detroit:
Elias Lindholm
To Calgary:
17th overall in 2023 draft
42nd overall in 2023 draft
43rd overall in 2023 draft
Fillip Zadina
If it’s a sign and trade, it should also include a conditional 2024 first round pick - if Detroit makes the playoffs, it is a first round pick in 2024. If not, it is a 2nd round pick.

Yeah Bean has little to no value now IMO and shouldn't be seen as a major part in any trade.
Can't stay healthy, and is pretty average when he is healthy. And really 25 isn't that young anymore.

I'm all for re-signing Lindholm and dealing Hanifin and Backlund. Bring in a legit offensive minded top 6 winger and gather some futures. The team takes a hit defensively, but after several years of Sutter, and other defensive minded coaches, it's time to YOLO it a bit with the offence and not worry as much about defence. The Flames have a player who owns the league record for most assists by a LW in a season, let's run with that.

lol Monahammer's anger about not trading Hanifin to Columbus is great. I am going to take a stab in the dark and guess that is on his no trade list

It's always funny to me that people assume that teams just have to trade with Calgary and players have no say. Especially in a sign and trade or NTC situation.

The Flyers I think. He was their leading scorer and one of the top penalty killers. Only 26 with 2 years left under market value. I don’t think Hanifin gets it done alone.

Philly is rebuilding.
Why do they trade their best trade chip for a guy one year from UFA?
If Konecny is available, it’s for draft picks and prospects.
