There will be even better deals coming for all of you.

Any update on this? It's been a couple of weeks.

I meant for getting a quote for tires. I know he is probably swamped with new role but I still need to pull the trigger on tires and would rather support someone on cp

I PM'd him back on Oct. 28th and haven't heard back yet so he may indeed be swamped.

Every time I consider putting them on I look at the forecast and decide to put it off another week.
Come on winter, where the F are you?

I did all my change overs on Monday and Tuesday this past week. It is that time of year where a freak storm can roll into town while we're sleeping and there is a few cm of snow on the ground.
I was also getting excited to put my mom's new studded winters on her car to see what they are like. On dry pavement they are a little squishy and squirmy and not quite as loud as I expected but her car is really well insulated so that probably helps. I can't wait to try her car on some snow and ice covered roads.

Went to tire pirates and had a great experience. If anyone needs good fast service check them out. Went in Monday tires installed Thursday.

Its here. You don't need to have snow to benefit from winter tires. Below freezing, winter tire compounds remain more supple and don't turn into hockey pucks. Any time it gets to near freezing, you are better off with winter rubber.

For sure. But it's the +10 temps mid week that have me annoyed, not the lack of snow

There's no way I'm sitting in a waiting room four days while my tires are changed.

I dunno, a place called Tire Pirates could potentially have a kickass waiting room.

I've been going to Tire Pirates since 2007. The one by Chinook. They also do my oil changes for 1/3 the price of the dealership (and know how to properly install the filter, unlike the dealership...)

I was taking my winter tires off today, and it occurred to me that I've never really seen a side-by-side comparison of summer vs winter. I'm sure that they are out there, but I decided to make one myself.
I can't remember what brand/type my summer tires are (nothing special, honestly) but the winters are Hakkapeliitta R2's.
Spoiler for size
