I know it won’t be popular but we bring Bedard, Scheiffle and Hyman and even Bouchard and we win that game 6-0. Shelter minutes for Bouch and Hyman like we did Reinhart.

We lacked goal scorers too many set up guys. No one went to the net. And our D didn’t shoot enough. They always deferred. Bouch doesn’t pass.

We should have won anyways against the pedo protectors because they were awful today except Helly but we leave a few of the passengers at home like Marchand and Reinhart and I think this game would’ve been over in the 1st period.

I actually agree, as much as I hate the Oilers. Hyman is elite at high danger rebound conversions and is a more reliable scorer to act as your garbage man, thats what we needed against Helleybuck, Bennett and Wilson werent really that effective. I would take Bouchard over guys like Doughty and Parayko because he is elite at zone exits and has a lethal point shot, while the other two statistically bleed high danger chances against speed. I probably would have taken Raddysh too with how he is playing. Logan Thompson is top three in the league for GSAA, and Binnington is dead last. A few tweaks and it is quite easily domination in Canada's favor IMO.

Nah, in NBA we want team mascot slam dunk competition to decide it.

Let's take those two teams and play a best of 7 series and see who's actually the best.

Then while we're at it let's make a 2nd team for each country, and then a 3rd team for each country and have them play best of 7 series too.

Not having waded through this thread, and also it’s kind of pointless to point fingers, but anecdotally I feel like MacKinnon is getting off light. Missed open nets happen but wtf was he doing on that final play. Totally nonchalant and then gets easily bodied off the puck as last man back. He’s probably hurt but still I feel like that’s gotten overlooked a bit on that last play

That makes more sense. But we have to remember...they're not a serious Country.

Binnington got almost no help today. All that fire power and they scored 1 goal.

I actually thought he played great for the most part during the Olympics.

No. He’s a disgusting person and the outrage is over him having the nerve to celebrate anything after protecting Epstein’s cronies.

If only wasting taxpayer dollars on flying across the world to attend sporting events were the worst of his transgressions.

I remember when Director of the FBI was a serious job for serious people. Clandestine stuff and all that. Can't even keep his puck chasing taxpayer paid party trip to drink with da boys under wraps.

I understand the disappointment but I still think Mackinnon is taking far too much of the blame for that. He had just one of many chances Canada had to end the game.

And you can't really blame him for rushing the shot after the paddle save Helly makes on Toews who in hindsight obviously should have bore down more on his chance. Both players score more often than not in those situations, but MacKinnon doesn't deserve to be seen as the reason they lost that game.

He scored some clutch goals in other games including the game winner in the semi against Finland. Without him they don't even make it to the show. You know he is the type of player who will blame no one but himself and you hate to see it.

He doesn't deserve to be haunted by that missed opportunity forever even though he will be for at least another four years. I feel bad for him in particular about that. I think he was arguably the best player on the team both on paper and in practice.

So Canada, we are all disappointed to not win gold but please don't put this one on MacK. We should all be proud of his efforts. It's a game of inches that could have gone either way as most of us expected. Give credit to the Americans who hung in there and found a way to get it done in the goofy 3 on 3 dice roll.

By all means do feel free to throw that stinky Oiler "captain" under the bus, however.

Clinton fired his 1st FBI director for misusing resources for personal gain, including using the FBI plane.

I think MacKinnon looked like he was sick and not just hurt, unless it's nerves, but his face just didn't look right, and he's usually so strong on his skates.
